When a successful New York advertising executive suffers a great tragedy<br />

he retreats from life. While his concerned friends try desperately to<br />

reconnect with him, he seeks answers from the universe by writing letters<br />

to Love, Time and Death. But it’s not until his notes bring unexpected<br />

personal responses that he begins to understand how these constants<br />

interlock in a life fully lived, and how even the deepest loss can reveal<br />

moments of meaning and beauty.<br />

“Collateral Beauty” features an all-star cast, including Will Smith (“Suicide<br />

Squad,” “Concussion”), Edward Norton (“Birdman or [The Unexpected<br />

Virtue of Ignorance]”), Keira Knightley (“The Imitation Game”), Michael<br />

Peña (“The Martian”), Naomie Harris (“Spectre”), Jacob Latimore (“The<br />

Maze Runner”), with Oscar winners Kate Winslet (“The Reader,” “Steve<br />

Jobs”) and Helen Mirren (“The Queen,” “Trumbo”).<br />

David Frankel (“Dear Diary,” “Marley & Me,” “The Devil Wears Prada”)<br />

directs from a screenplay written by Allan Loeb (“Wall Street: Money<br />

Never Sleeps,” “21”). The film is produced by Bard Dorros (“Triple 9”),<br />

Oscar winner Michael Sugar (“Spotlight”), Allan Loeb, Anthony Bregman<br />

(“Foxcatcher”), and Kevin Frakes (“John Wick”). Serving as executive<br />

producers are Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener, Michael Disco, Michael<br />

Bederman, Peter Cron, and Bruce Berman.<br />

Frankel’s behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography<br />

Maryse Alberti (“Creed”), production designer Beth Mickle (“Whiskey<br />

Tango Foxtrot”), editor Andrew Marcus (“American Ultra”) and costume<br />

designer Leah Katznelson (“How to Be Single”). The music is composed<br />

by Theodore Shapiro (“Trumbo”).<br />

The film is slated for release on <strong>December</strong> 16, <strong>2016</strong>.<br />

New Line Cinema presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures,<br />

an Anonymous Content/an Overbrook Entertainment Production, a<br />

PalmStar Media and Likely Story Production: “Collateral Beauty.” It will<br />

be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment<br />

Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.<br />

This film has been rated PG-13 for thematic elements and brief strong<br />

language.<br />
