MUSIC, DANCE, AND PLAY? (11:45)
Contact: TBA
Tuition: $50 per family
If you would like to lead an activity based class for the little ones, please let us know! They are usually ready for play time by 11:45.
CLUBS & OTHER ACTIVITIES
St. A has accommodations for the following activities, but whether they happen in any particular semester will depend on interest. For
Science Olympiad and Chess, we need coaches--please consider whether you might be interested in leading! This would be a great
opportunity for service hours for older students, or a great entry for a college application or resume. Fees for the group will be
adjusted according to the group’s activities.
Crochet (1:45-3:00)
Contact: Dr. Patricia Warren
Come for however long you are able; it’s OK to arrive late. Moms, come with your kids!
Patricia will share crochet tips with enthusiasts. Moms plus children 9 and up are welcome. You will learn how to do all the basic
stitches and create a number of projects including a scarf, a water-bottle coaster and holder, a set of mitts/handwarmers/mittens, a soft
ball toy and other things of your choice. Tuition will be $5 for the first person in a family per week, $3 for each additional up to $11
per family.
Supplies: 1 skein of Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in white or a light color and 2 Clover Soft-Touch crochet hooks in size G,H,I, or
J (at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, A. C. Moore, and JoAnn Fabrics; if you open the packages by only undoing the staples and keep the
receipt, you can return a hook that turns out to not be the size that works for you). We like to patronize Hobby Lobby as much as
possible!
Science Olympiad: St. A provides materials for students to work together on Science Olympiad style projects (in the past, our
students have worked on the Elastic Launched Glider and Bridge Building projects). Time will depend on the schedule needs of those
interested.
We would love to have a coach for our group! Please let Mary know if you’re interested (staugustinehomeschoolraleigh@gmail.com).
Chess Club: St. A provides chess boards for students wishing to play. Time will depend on scheduling needs of those interested. We
would love to have a coach who could give our students some guidance! Please let Mary know if you’re interested in coaching
