Learning Resource Center (Library)<br />

Students have access to library services at the Learning<br />

Resource Center on the DeKalb Campus and at the<br />

John R. Williams Learning Resource Center on the<br />

Newton Campus. Access is provided to books, nonprint<br />

items, and periodical titles. Services include study<br />

areas, photocopy machines, interlibrary loan, and<br />

point-of-use instruction. Computers are equipped with<br />

GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online), Microsoft<br />

Office, instructional software, and Internet access.<br />

Students must present a current validated student I.D.<br />

in order to borrow materials.<br />

Special Services Division<br />

Equity / Special Populations<br />

This program at GPTC serves single parents, displaced<br />

homemakers, and students that are enrolled in<br />

nontraditional programs. The program offers<br />

customized workshops and seminars such as career<br />

testing and exploration, academic preparation and<br />

review, stress management, parenting skills, selfesteem<br />

improvement, and job readiness training.<br />

These services are available in the Advising, Career,<br />

and Retention Services Office.
