Welcome to our <strong>January</strong> issue. Firstly, from all of us at <strong>Velvet</strong>,<br />
we would like to wish you a happy New Year! Thank you to<br />
everyone who we worked with throughout 2016 and we look<br />
forward to what <strong>2017</strong> has in store for us all.<br />
<strong>January</strong> welcomes heaps of New Year’s resolutions; most of<br />
which are focused around getting fit and banishing those extra<br />
Christmas pounds. We’ve got some great advice from local<br />
fitness professionals in our health section starting on page 51.<br />
I’ve signed up for a few 10k races and raided the Sweaty Betty<br />
<strong>January</strong> sale to keep me motivated.<br />
We’ve given you a quick rundown on some of the forecasted<br />
fashion trends for <strong>2017</strong> on page 36 and we’ll be expanding<br />
on these throughout the year. If you’re looking to get fashion<br />
forward in those <strong>January</strong> sales, S/S <strong>2017</strong> is set to be all about<br />
ruffles, prints, fuchsia pink, tulle, asymmetric hems and mini<br />
bags. Beauty products are also booming at the start of the<br />
New Year, with launches from the likes of Paul Mitchell,<br />
bareMinerals, Guerlain, Kiehl’s, Clarins, Elemis and more on<br />
page 42, and we’ve even got a step by step look from Estée<br />
Lauder from Joseph’s S/S show.<br />
Recently got engaged, or perhaps he’s waiting for Valentine’s<br />
Day? Next month is our exclusive wedding edition where we’ll<br />
be covering everything from local venues and bridal boutiques<br />
to colour schemes, top trends, flowers and more, so keep your<br />
