2015 Just as Johnson looked to lock down a key<br />

special teams role in his third year on campus, injury<br />

prematurely ended his season... Johnson served as the team's primary long<br />

snapper against Western Kentucky and Georgia, but suffered a leg injury<br />

against the Bulldogs that forced him out of action for the rest of the year.<br />

2014 Johnson did not participate in a game as a second-year special<br />

teams' contributor... Competed for much of the year as the top backup to<br />

senior snapper Andrew East.<br />

2013 Johnson did not play in his first year with the Commodores... Worked<br />

as a practice squad snapper on conversions.<br />

HIGH SCHOOL Three-year letterwinner and starter for one of Middle<br />

Tennessee's top private schools... Started at WR, safety and as snapper<br />

for Big Red, helping school to three straight Division II state playoff<br />

appearances... Also lettered on baseball.<br />

ACADEMICS Johnson is working toward a degree in economics from the<br />

College of Arts and Science. He is a two-time (2014-15) SEC Academic<br />

Honor Roll recipient.<br />

PERSONAL James Wilson Johnson... Born April 5, 1994... Son of Joseph and<br />

Nancy Johnson... Has three siblings: sister, Mary, and brothers, Stephen<br />

and Camden... Dad serves as MBA's Director of Alumni and Development;<br />

mom teaches at Westminster Kindergarten in Nashville.<br />

2015 Lealao enjoyed his best season as a sophomore<br />

defensive lineman... Lealao played in all 12 regular season<br />

games, earning starting assignments at nose tackle against late-season<br />

SEC foes Florida, Kentucky, Texas A&M and Tennessee... Showed improvement<br />

and greater confidence with each game played... Posted game highs<br />

of nine solo tackles and 18 total tackles during the season... Career high of<br />

four total tackles came vs. Georgia... Capped year off with three solo stops<br />

at Tennessee.<br />
