When design defines function
Design is where the story begins. Without it, PPG gear sets would not perform or last like they do.
With every product it manufactures, PPG aims to make shifting as effortless and as positive as possible: from the
moment the driver touches the shift-lever, to the delivery of power right through the transmission. This allows gear
changes to be executed more accurately and quickly and therefore achieve a minimal drop in RPM, more continuous
acceleration, a balanced chassis and consequently, increased performance.
The PPG kit has been specifically designed to directly replace the original gear set and fits accurately inside the standard
casings. In addition, no alterations are required to the gear-change mechanism or linkages, which means that installation
is a straightforward, like-for-like exchange operation.
The PPG upgrade for the Nissan Skyline includes the most advanced of measurement sensors available: the GILL Blade
360° rotary position sensor. With a speed of operation usually only found in F1-type applications, the system optimizes
the shift phase to allow the return of power through the transmission as soon as the dog is pre-engaged.
