Standard flow models in 67-, 73and 85-inch working widths and high flow (XPS) models in 73- and 85-inch working widths offer additional key features: • Hydraulically-controlled chute, auger, impeller and deflector provide easy adjustment, long life and less maintenance. • High flow models use the machine joystick to control the chute and deflector with no additional wires or hardware to connect. • Chute rotates 180-degrees, permitting snow discharge front or side, preventing snow from blowing back toward cab. • Non-binding discharge chute utilizes non-metallic liner to prevent plugging and freeze ups. • Nickel-plated corrosion-resistant chute chain. • Bolt-on replaceable, reversible cutting edge and large skid shoes extend snow blower life. • Hydraulic hard tubing lines eliminate wear and damage due to vibration. • A diverter manifold cover and wire sleeving protect components from damage. The addition of the new TH 6x4 Diesel completes the revised Gator Traditional Series lineup that John Deere brought to market in 2004 with the Gator TS, TX, and TH Gas models. “The Gator TH 6x4 Diesel is a serious workhorse,” says Kevin Lund, utility vehicle group product marketing manager for John Deere. “We’ve designed and built this machine to deliver the performance and productivity customers need in a hard-working utility vehicle.” It all starts with an 854-cc Yanmar diesel engine that gives the new Gator TH 6x4 Diesel 30 percent more displacement than the previous Gator 6x4 Diesel it replaces. The Gator TH 6x4 Diesel delivers approximately 20 percent more maximum torque than its predecessor with a higher top speed of 20 mph. Customers will value the best-inclass work capabilities of the machine’s 1,600-pound payload capacity, 1,400pound towing capacity, and 25-inch cargo-box load height. The reliability and long-term durability of the new Gator TH 6x4 Diesel have been enhanced through features such as dual radiators that provide efficient transfer of heat away from the engine compartment and the vehicle’s reinforced frame. New gearing and an improved transmission provide smoother operation and eliminate the grinding that could occur in some shifting operations in the previous Gator 6x4. The new TH 6x4 Diesel also features a roomier operator’s station that offers high-back seats, a 12volt outlet, cup holders, and other improved ergonomic characteristics. The vehicle also is available with an optional rollover protective structure (ROPS)-certified cab. “The new Gator TH 6x4 Diesel is a perfect fit for the landscaper, rancher, farmer, large property owner, or contractor who needs a powerful, hardworking utility vehicle to tackle a range of tasks, and the reliability and support that only John Deere and its dealers can offer,” says Lund. John Deere offers the Gator XUV 4x4, available in electronic fuel injection (EFI) gas and diesel versions. These new vehicles are designed to deliver outstanding performance at the job site and on the most challenging off-road trails. T H E N E W G AT O R X U V 4 X 4 “The utility vehicle market has been growing substantially for the past few years,” notes Kevin Lund, utility vehicle group product marketing manager for John Deere. “A large portion of this growth has been occurring in what we classify as Trail and Heavy Duty vehicles.
