FOREWORD<br />

This booklet illustrates the big picture of Recruitment Department in TOPSPOT Multi-<br />

Purpose Cooperative (TMPC). It briefly introduces the milestone of TOPSPOT, its forerunners,<br />

the principles that they practice to make TMPC successful, and its management team. This<br />

booklet focuses on the functions of Recruitment Department as a whole.<br />

This booklet gives us insights of what is TOPSPOT all about. It embraces the Vision,<br />

Mission, 7 principles of cooperative, its departments, and their clients. It broadens your<br />

knowledge to the business of TOPSPOT and will give you a deep understanding to the<br />

operation of Recruitment Department.<br />

This booklet provides you a comprehensive guideline to take your journey in<br />

TOPSPOT’s Recruitment Department effectively and efficiently. This will give you tips, tricks,<br />

and metrics to become a competent recruitment officer. Reading this will familiarized yourself<br />

Topspot Multi-Purpose Cooperative was registered at the Cooperative Development Authority<br />

on July 24, 2008 with a Registration No. C-623-6526 headed by Chairman Gerardo De La Cruz together<br />

with 14 founding members. We have well-trained and experienced staff to provide manpower services<br />

to more than 15 companies nationwide. The cooperative’s primary objective is to engage in providing<br />

manpower services to as of the moment 12 companies nationwide such as KFC Philippines,<br />

Tokyo Tokyo, Philippine Seven Corporation ( 711 Convenient Store ) and Mister Donut to name a few .<br />

It also intends to render savings and lending operation for its members, and to engage in procurement<br />

and distribution of goods and other commodities.<br />

The cooperative was organized to supply the growing demand of service crews for Fast Food<br />

Chains. Together with its primary objectives the cooperative aims to actively support the government<br />

and other concerned organizations both local and foreign, in promoting cooperatives as practical<br />

means towards sustainable socio-economic development under a truly just and democratic society.<br />

Develop the knowledge of the members on principles and practices of cooperative, to enable them to<br />

actively and competently participate in managing the mobilization and capital build-up schemes to<br />

sustain its development activities and long-term investments, in that way ensuring optimum economic<br />

benefits to its members, their families and the general public. To implement policy guidelines that will<br />

ensure transparency, equitable access to its resources and services and promote the interest of the<br />

member. And to adopt such other plans as may help foster the welfare of the member, their families<br />

and the community.<br />

Principles of Cooperative<br />

Voluntary and Open Membership<br />

Cooperatives are voluntary in nature and are open to all the people who are able to<br />

enjoy its services and willing to accept the responsibilities and obligations attached<br />

upon membership, without any discrimination to gender, social status, race, politics, and<br />

religion.<br />

Democratic Member Control<br />

Cooperatives are democratically controlled by their members who are actively<br />

participate in formulation and setting of their policies, decision making, patronizing<br />

goods, and usage of the services in their cooperative.<br />

Member's Economic Participation<br />

All members have an obligation to participate in contributing equally for the capital of the<br />

cooperative and control the usage of it democratically. This will benefit all members<br />

proportionally to the business they are engaged.<br />

Autonomy and Independence<br />

Cooperatives are autonomous in manner that they have the power to govern<br />

themselves. Hence, free from external control.<br />

Education, Training, and Information<br />

Cooperatives provide education and timely training for members, coordinators,<br />

employees, and managers for them to effectively contribute for the development of their<br />

cooperative.<br />

Cooperation among Cooperatives<br />

Cooperatives can effectively serve their members to the fullest and solidify the<br />

cooperative movement by working together though local, national, regional, and<br />

international structure.<br />

Concern for Community<br />

While maintain the focus on member needs, cooperatives are committed to work for the<br />

sustainable development of communities through policies and programs which are<br />

acceptable to all members.<br />

COOPERATIVE VALUES<br />

Self – help - obligates or encourages the individuals of cooperative to satisfy their own<br />

collective needs through the use of their own efforts and resources.<br />

Self – responsibility - is the state where co-operatives provide education and training for their<br />

members, employees, coordinators and managers to effectively perform their duties and<br />

responsibilities for the development of their co-operatives.<br />

Democracy - is a philosophy or governance in which the decisions are controlled by the<br />

majority of its members.<br />

Equality - is a symbolic value of the fact that all individuals in the co-operative are equal as a<br />

human – being.<br />

Equity - is the quality of being fair in the relationship between and among individuals in cooperative<br />

through the manner or exercising the authority over person.<br />

Solidarity - is an essential characteristic of successful co-operatives where it refers to the<br />

unity of feeling, action and to the respect of individual person to the one they can relate<br />

Honesty - the reality of being honest that establishes a good relation among person in<br />

cooperative who will both experience and benefit from the truth.<br />

Openness - this value refers to the transparency and lack of secrecy to the info and<br />

knowledge to the cooperative.<br />

Social responsibility - an ethical framework and the most relevant to the public image which<br />

suggests that the cooperative has an obligation to the community which it serves and beyond<br />

the cooperative works for betterment of the condition of the society.<br />

Caring for others - this refers to the value that each individual co-operation and all the cooperative<br />

have an obligation to act in such a way that they pro-actively show kindness for<br />

GUIDELINES FOR NEWLY-HIRED RECRUITMENT ASSISTANT<br />

On the first day of the newly-hired Recruitment Assistants they are expected to do the following;<br />

1. Be familiarized to the faces and names of co-members in TOPSPOT.<br />

Topspot Trainers Certification Results October 2015<br />

Dear All,<br />

As we aim for excellence in cascading the STM Orientation for incoming store team members,<br />

Tokyo Tokyo Technical Training Team conducted a certification for the Topspot Trainers last<br />

October 09, 2015.<br />

Below is the timeline we followed for the certification.<br />

A passing rate of 2.70 out of 4.00 was set by our team as basis for the assessment of the<br />

trainers in the said certification. We rated them using the scale below.<br />

Evaluation was categorized to the following:<br />

· Presentation Skills<br />

· Mastery of the Topic<br />

· Methods and Materials<br />

After a series of certifications and thorough analysis of the results, although improvements<br />

were observed in some areas, Topspot Trainers' current competencies are now sufficient in<br />

order for us to fully entrust to them our program.<br />

All logistics including the venue will now be handled by the Topspot Training Team. Also, as<br />

agreed, a spot audit will be conducted in the coming months.<br />

Attached herewith is the soft copy of the results. Hard copies of the post training evaluation will<br />

also be provided to your team.<br />
