Lili Golestan<br />

Born 1944 After her secondary<br />

school, Lili Golestan left for Paris<br />

and studied dress and textile<br />

design at the decorative art<br />

institute of Paris and the same<br />

time attended classes on world art<br />

history and French litrature at 'La<br />

Sorbonne'. While in paris, she also<br />

participated in pottery classes.<br />

After four years living and studying<br />

in paris, she came back to Iran and<br />

took up a job as a textile designer<br />

at the moghaddam textile factory.<br />

Later she joined the iranian<br />

national television as a dress<br />

designer for various TV shows .<br />

She later became the head of<br />

children 's TV program.<br />

She quit her TV job after 7 years<br />

and published her first translation<br />

of a novel in 1967:"Life, War and<br />

then nothing" by Oriana Fallaci.The<br />

book recieved and encouraged her<br />

to translate more novels. She has<br />

since published more than twenty<br />

books as follows:<br />
