Job was beautiful. The bits

Psalm 147:3-5 is a great
comfort. And Philippians
2:12-18 is a great
challenge. And I like that
both involve the imagery
of stars.

choices and I feel awkward
now, but I was just going to
be like, 1 Samuel 16:12 in
the ESV where it says ‘Now
[David] was ruddy and
had beautiful eyes and was
handsome’. If I have to be
serious, Isaiah 56 and
Acts 8:26-40.

I have several for
different reasons -
Galatians 4:11-12,
John 1:1-18 and a general
liking of Philippians.

I can’t decide! I love the
story of the prodigal son,
the idea that God comes out
to meet us whatever we’ve
done is a very powerful one.
As a teenager, my favourite
was Isaiah 40: 28-31
and those are words I’m
returning to now.

I love love love the story
of the prodigal son, I think
it has such a powerful
message behind it. But then
I also love the story where
Mary Magdalene finds the
tomb open. The fact that
it’s a woman not a man
is another really powerful
message to me!

The prophets sure had a way
with words. My favourite
is Amos 5:21-24: ‘But let
justice flow like a river and
righteousness like a neverending
stream’.
