DAY 1: BANGKOK – AYUTHAYA – PHITSANULOKE<br />

• Pick up from hotels in Bangkok city and departure to visit Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam, where you will find<br />

the ruined temples of Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Phra Mahathat and Wat Phanang Choeng. On the way to Lop Buri,<br />

we will visit Phra Prang Sam Yot and San Phra Kan Monkey Temple and later, we will continue to Phitsanuloke for<br />

accommodation.<br />

• Lunch will be served during this day in a local restaurant.<br />

DAY 2: PHITSANULOKE – SUKHOTHAI – LAMPANG – CHIANG RAI<br />

• Breakfast at the hotel<br />

• We will start the day with a morning tour to Wat Phra Si Mahathat in Phitsanuloke, after we will drive to the ancient<br />

city and historical landmark of Sukhothai, which ruins has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage historical park<br />

along with Si Satchanalai. In the afternoon, we will visit the sacred temple of Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. A stop will<br />

be made to see Lake Phayao before continuing our way to Chiang Rai for accommodation.<br />

• Lunch will be served during this day in a local restaurant.<br />

DAY 3: CHIANG RAI<br />

• Breakfast at the hotel<br />

• Departure from your hotel to visit Doi Tung and the gardens of Mae Fah Luang, the trading town of Mae Sai, the<br />

historical city of Chiang Saen and the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Myanmar, Laos and <strong>Thailand</strong> meet and<br />

provide a beautiful view of the Mekong River; with a visit to the Opium Museum situated in the same area. To end the<br />

day, we will make a visit to Yao and Akha hill tribe villages. Return to Chiang Rai for accommodation in the hotel.<br />

• Lunch will be served during this day in a local restaurant.<br />

DAY 4: CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI<br />

• Breakfast at the hotel<br />

• We will departure from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai “The Rose of the North”. Along the way we will visit Wat Rong Khun<br />

temple, known as the White Temple. This building is very different from any other temple in <strong>Thailand</strong>, as its ubosot<br />

(consecrated assembly hall) is designed in white color with some use of white glass. Upon arrival to Chiang Mai, we will<br />

proceed to visit the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple, which is reached by a Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase<br />

of 306 steps, but the less energetic will be pleased to know that there is a cable car up the hill. On a clear day the<br />

panoramic views of the city from the temple are truly spectacular.<br />

• At the end of the day there will be a panoramic tour around Chiang Mai city, to see the most interesting places.<br />

• Lunch will be served during this day in a local restaurant.<br />

• Accommodation at Chiang Mai hotel.<br />
