Alhamd-o-Lillah we have once again received the blessed month of
Ramadan in our lives, I hope this brings the best of things to all in
our Muslim community, everyone should try to get maximum benefit
from this month.
As we all know that PLA elections are approaching, it becomes the
ethical duty of each professional to get involved actively through
participation as member and vote for genuine representatives.
Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization has been enthusiastically
engaged in delivering ideas, information and professional knowledge through different
workshops, seminars and events to help library professionals for their learning and research.
This issue of newsletter would give you an update on the happenings, events and news in
the LIS circle during April-June 2014. If you are not already a member, please join. If you
are already associated, please consider getting more involved. In order to meet the challenges
of the contemporary world, you can share novel ideas for better look of the newsletter

President’s Note..
I am delighted that Muhammad Shahid Soroya – Secretary General PLWO has added
another feather in his cap. Now he has become Dr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya. He
worked hard and made his place not only in practical librarianship but also in academics.
So he has secured the well-deserved Ph. D. degree. I, personally as well as on
behalf of all team members of Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization, congratulate
him on this marvelous achievement

Elections of Pakistan Library Association (PLA) are onset. They demand sensible
approach. We should proactively participate in the process whether we contest these
elections or not. It is our moral duty to support people who have potential to deliver.
Now it is time to motivate other professionals to take membership of the association
and fulfill professional duty by participating in elections. I believe that change can be
brought through democratic process.
In last, I would like to appreciate the efforts of PLWO team members who worked in
organizing 2 nd PLWO annual dinner and musical night. Team members of PLWO
Federal Branch deserve special appreciation and I urge that we all should spare a
little more time from our busy lives to work voluntarily for our professional fellows.
We can only excel through hard work, dedication and sense of responsibility.
We need to carry on by every means in all situations. So keep your heads high with
pride and continue progressing.

PLWO 2 nd Annual Dinner and Musical Night 2014
An Unforgettable Event
Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization (PLWO) always strives for creating get together opportunities
for LIS community in Pakistan. We have set an example of holding annual dinners embellished
with musical and mashaira nights. Keeping the tradition alive, PLWO arranged 2 nd annual dinner on
Saturday, April 26, 2014. Two well known singers were inviteto amuse the audience. The venue of dinner
was Royal Palm Country Club, Lahore. The club is one among the finest venues of the country.
More than 300 members of LIS community attended the dinner. Many dignitaries also participated in
the event. Dignitaries include Mr. Javed Iqbal – Cartoonist, Prof. Dr. Mehmood H. Butt, Ex-Vice Chancellor,
Allama Iqbal Open University, Mian Misbah ur Rehman, Chairman Lahore Gymkhana, Prof. Dr.
Muhammad Amin Athar, Registrar University of the Punjab, Lahore, Dr. Waqar Ch. Director
(Economic News Service) Associated Press of Pakistan, Dr. Kamran Abid, Additional Registrar, University
of the Punjab, Lahore, Dr Muhammad Ramzan, Director Library, Lahore University of Management
Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, and Ch. Muhammad Hanif, Chief Librarian, University of the Punjab,
Lahore.
The singers Aijaz Ahmed and Saima Mumtaz entertained the audience through the music and received
a lot of appreciation. Participants enjoyed a lot and were also happy to meet their peers from all across
the Pakistan in the beautiful evening.
The formal ceremony started with the recitation from holy Quran followed by a Naat Sharif. Mr. Muhammad
Shahid Soroya – Secretary General PLWO performed his role as stage secretary.
In his presidential address, Mr. Muhammad Asif Munir, President PLWO emphasized on learning
through peers and said that such events provide ample opportunities of learning. He also thanked the
PLWO team on organizing this excellent event. He also thanked to the participants who travelled from
far off places of the country to show their presence in the event.

Prof. Dr. Mehmood H. Butt praised PLWO team for this volunteer work and encouraged to proceed
with more vigor and energy. He said that professional associations play an important role in awareness
of rights among the professionals. So the PLWO is doing right thing in realizing people about
their rights. He also appreciated the efforts of the organization in reviving Pakistan Library Association
(PLA).
Very famous personality of the gathering, Mr. Javed Iqbal Cartoonist appreciated the PLWO management
for gathering librarians from the whole country on this magnificent feast. He showed his
delight on being part of this community. He urged PLWO to carry on similar programs in future as
well.
Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, praised the team PLWO for organizing the dinner and musical night. He
encouraged librarians to implement new technologies in their libraries and become proactive learners.
He also made an important announcement that he is formally merging Foundation for Authentic
Information and Research (FAIR Information) into Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization
(PLWO).
I am very much thankful to all the participants of this wonderful event. I am indebted to Dr. Muhammad
Ramzan and Ch. Muhammad Hanif for their continuous support and encouragement. They
are very generous all the time and always supported us on every initiative we took.

National Seminar on World Book and Copy Right Day

Pakistan Library Association (PLA) in collaboration with Pakistan Librarians Welfare
Organization (PLWO), Punjab University Library and Information Science Alumni Association
(PULISAA), Quaid-i-Azam Library and Pakistan Library Automation Group (PAKlag) organized
National Seminar on World Book & Copy Right Day on 23rd April 2014 at Quaid-e-Azam
Library, Lahore. Minster for Education Punjab, Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan was the chief
guest in this seminar.
In relevance with the world book and copy right day the Education Minister announced
various digital library projects. He admired the efforts of Pakistan Library Association in this
regard as well. DG Public Libraries Punjab Zaheer ud Din Babar, President PLA Ch. Muhammad
Hanif, President, PLA Punjab Dr. Muhammad Ramzan , Chairperson DLISPU Prof. Dr.
Kanwal Ameen, President PLWO Asif Munir, Secretary General PLA Shahid Soroya and other
immanent personalities attended this seminar to support the importance of books and copyrights
. This seminar was followed by oath taking ceremony of new elected council of PULISAA
(Punjab University Library & Information Science Alumni Association). This wonderful seminar
on World Book & Copy Right Day was immensely covered by print and electronic media.

3-Days National Symposium on
“Social Science Research”

Symposium Participants Group Picture
Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization (PLWO), Federal Branch in association with Riphah International
University, Islamabad organized a 3-day National Symposium on “Social Science Research” from June 20 to 22
June, 2014 at Conference Hall, Riphah International University, Islamabad.
Symposium was well representative event attended by large number of librarians, information professionals,
scholars and researchers from different organizations, NGO‟s and universities. The symposium was the continuation
of PLWO‟s commitment to work for the capacity building of librarians and information science professionals
and to facilitate researchers in their research work. The broad objective of symposium was to equip researchers
with cutting-edge techniques of modern day research.
Acknowledgments
PLWO owes to acknowledge the support provided by Information Services Department, Riphah International
University, Islamabad. PLWO especially thanked all speakers at the event who conducted 12 sessions as well as
the participants who actively participated in this national symposium.
Introduction of programme
Zaheer Ahmad, Secretary, Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization_Federal Branch, welcomed the participants
and said such large number of participants testified to the importance of National Symposium on “Social Science
Research”. Dilating upon the format of programe, he said that there would be a total of 12-sessions and hoped
that all speakers would conclude their sessions within the confines of timeline. While introducing the topics, he
said sessions are planned to brainstorm on research issues which are being faced by social science researchers.

In keynote address on “social science research methodology” Dr. Anis Ahmad, briefly discussed the differences
between methods and methodology in research process. He emphasized that such events are the way forward to
produce good results in research.

Resource Persons
Mr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya Chief Librarian, ITU, Lahore
Muhammad Shahid Soroya, while opening the session, gave introduction of social science research
and overall understanding of the concept. He briefly discussed the scientific research methods and
scientific research process. In his 2nd session, he guided the researchers about the critical review of
literature. Commenting on this theme, he said researchers should review all relevant literature critically
and also cite it in research work properly to authenticate research outputs. He added that thorough
review of literature, viewing all prior work relevant to the research topic and proper citation
will authenticate the research outputs.
Dr. Muhammad Ramzan Director LUMS Library, Lahore
He conducted 5-sessions in the national symposium. In his first session, he delivered detailed lecture
on critical thinking in social science research. While commenting on the selection of topic, he said
researcher should be careful while selecting the topic because right selection of topic leads to right
result. He added that topic should be narrowed down to address specific problem. He involved the
participants practically during this lecture and assigned them to select a topic of your research. In
his 2 nd and 3 rd session, he briefly discussed qualitative vs quantitative research methods and highlighted
guidelines for research tool development. While addressing in 4 th sessions, he discussed on the
ethics of research, their implication on the overall research process. He was of the view that only
honest person would contribute valuable and authenticate research outputs. He discussed in detail
how to avoid plagiarism. Participants also learnt how to use TURNITIN to determine originality of
text of research work.In the last session, he highlighted guidelines about the art of writing research
papers, publishing and presenting papers in conferences. During and after all presentations, he also
conducted mock sessions to answer different questions raised by participants. He praised the enthusiasm
of learning displayed by participants. All sessions of Dr. Muhammad Ramzan were highly
acknowledged from researchers and they were of the view that we are now in position to start research
work properly.

Riphah International University, Islamabad
He discussed advance searching techniques to search relevant literature on the specific topic. In this
inter-active session, participants learnt that how to make online searching skills more effective. He
also briefly discussed CRAP test for Authentication of Data and its Sources.
Mr. Salman Bin Naeem Research Scholar, Ph. D
He delivered his lecture on choosing appropriate statistical test for quantitative data analysis by
explaining level of measurements i.e. nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio. He explained types of variables
and the difference between research questions and hypothesis. In his 2nd session, he discussed
sample size determination in social science, research level of significance. In addition to this, he also
explained various module of G* power by explaining alpha value, effect size, sample size for one tail
(s) and two tail (s).In his concluding remarks, being a host and collaborator of this event formally
thanked all speakers and participants for sharing their intellect and relevant experiences and further
thanked general participants (from diverse backgrounds) for their active Participation.

Seminar on “Innovations in Saudi University Libraries: An insider’s
view”

Pakistan librarian Welfare Organization and Pakistan library Automation Group organized
a Seminar on “Innovations in Saudi University Libraries: An insider’s view” with the collaboration
of Quaid-e-Azam library, the mall Lahore on Wednesday, 25 th June 2014.
Dr. Khalid Mahmood who is currently working at University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia as the
head of Information, Learning and Research Commons was the resource person. The seminar
started with recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiza Kiran neemat . In this seminar Dr. Khalid
Mahmood shared his experiences and observations on structure and working of various Saudi university
libraries His specific emphasis was on technological revolution and innovations taking
place in Saudi library culture.
Dr. Zaheer Ahmad Babar (Director General Public Libraries Punjab) was the Chief Guest. Dr.
Muhammad Shahid soroya was the guest of honor and Mr. Abid Ali Gill ex-chief Librarian (Quaid
-e-Azam library) was especially invited for this seminar. In the welcome address to Dr. Muhammad
Shahid soroya secretary General PLWO shared his concerns regarding upcoming PLA election
and requested the participants to get the membership PLA for participating in PLA election
2014. He also mentioned struggle of PLWO for the betterment of LIS profession. He said, we
would welcome collaborations with other organizations and organizations in future as well.
In closing remarks the Chief Guest, Dr. Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Director General Public Libraries
Punjab, congratulated PLWO, Paklag teams for organizing a successful seminar, and recommended
for holding such events in future. He also thanked Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Malik for sparing
his valuable time for seminar.

2-Days Practical Workshop on “Library Automation Using LIMS”
June 20 – 21, 2014

Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization (Faisalabad Chapter) has organized its 1 st 2-Days Practical
Workshop on Library Automation Using LIMS for LIS community especially for AIOU students to enhance
their capacity building regarding library automation in collaboration with City District Government
Faisalabad and Society for Reading & Knowledge. More than 70 participants from Faisalabad Division
i.e.Faisalabad City, Chiniot, Samundari, Jaranwala, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Gojra, Jhumra attended
this useful workshop. Some key points of the workshop are as under.
Day 1.
Workshop started with the Recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiz Nazir. After the Recitation of the Holy
Quran Mr. Ayoub Bhatti presented Naat Sharif then Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, President PLWO-FC welcomed
the participants and gave a comprehensive briefing about 2-days practical workshop. He emphasizes
that automation of libraries is essential to survive in this modern era.After welcome address Mr.
Nadeem Sohail from Rachna College, Gujranwala and Ms. Misbah Bashir from University of Faisalabad
(Resource Persons) have started technical sessions of the workshop. In this session, they introduced LIMS
to the participants and gave orientation about the software. After the technical session, a delicious lunch
with tea has been served to all the participants. Hands on practice session held after jumah prayer.
Day 2.
The Recitation from Holy Quran recited at the beginning of the day. After Recitation LIMS issues and
problems had discussed with the participants by the resource person. In second session LIMS OPAC introduction,
installation and orientation has been presented to the participants. Refreshment was enjoyed by
the participants after the second session. After refreshment Mr. Nadeem Sohail gave a presentation on web
OPAC and Digital Library. A question/answer session has also been conducted by the resource persons at
the end of the workshop.
Mr. Tariq Khan Niazi, District Monitoring Officer (DMO) Faisalabad has graced the closing ceremony as a
Chief Guest. He distributed the certificates and workshop automation kit to the participants and appreciated
efforts of PLWO-FC to organize such a tremendous workshop for LIS community of Faisalabad Division.
He assured full support and cooperation from City District Government in all such activities in future.
At the end, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad gave vote of thanks to Chief Guest as well as participants of the workshop.
He offered his full support and cooperation to all the participants for any query related to libraries
and ensured them that he will guide them in their future plans for promoting the library culture in the
country especially in Faisalabad Region.

M.Phil / PhD Degrees:

and honorably awarded M.Phil & Ph.D degrees to them.
Mr. Muhammad Rana Jamil, MPhil researcher at DLIS, IUB has successfully completed his MPhil degree. The topic of
his thesis is “Attitude of Faculty Members towards HEC Digital Library: a survey of universities of Southern Punjab”.
He conducted his research under supervision of Dr. Rubina Bhatti. (May 7, 2014)
Mir Bahadar Khattak, MPhil researcher at DLIS, University of Sargodha has successfully completed his MPhil degree
under the supervision of Dr. Haroon Idrees. (May 8, 2014).
Four MPhil Scholars (Khalid Usman, Amir Hameed, Muhammad Ashraf Shakoori and Muhammad Hussain) have successfully
completed their MPhil degrees under supervision of Dr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya and Dr. Saeed from Minhaj
University.
Sumaira Hussain conducted her research on “Motivation and job satisfaction of paraprofessional staff working in university
libraries of Lahore” under supervision of Ms. Saira Hanif.
Sadia Khaliq conducted her research on “Analyzing reference performance of public sector university libraries of Lahore”
under supervision of Ms. Saira Hanif.
Faiza Bashir completed her research on the topic “21st Century trend analysis of monograph acquisition in public libraries
of Lahore” under supervision of Ms. Saira Hanif
Azra Parveen did her research on “Information needs and seeking behavior of faculty and students of University of Engineering
and Technology: A survey of Lahore campus: under supervision of Ms. Saira Hanif
Mr. Rashid Maqbool conducted his research under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Rafiq.
Mr. Tahir Jan Assistant Librarian University of Peshawar has successfully completed his M.Phil from University of Sargodha
under the supervision of Dr. Haroon Idrees. The topic of his research was "User perception and practices on the use
of electronic resources: a study of PhD scholars of the public sector universities of Peshawar".
Mr. Nasir Khan Librarian Central Library University of Sargodha has completed his M.Phil from DLIS University of
Sargodha under supervision of Dr. Muhammad Fazil Khan Baloch.
Mr. Rana Javed Iqbal, MPhil researcher at DLIS, IUB Chief Librarian at Central Public Library, Bahawalpur has successfully
completed his MPhil degree. The topic of his research was “Role of Public Libraries as Community Learning
Centres: A Case Study of Government Public Libraries in Punjab” under supervision of Dr. Rubine Bhatti.

Dr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya has successfully completed his Ph.D in South Asian Studies. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya
has received this degree from the University of the Punjab by successfully defending his thesis “The Impact of Student-Teacher
Relationship on Academic Integrity in Pakistani Universities”.
Workshops/ Seminars/ Trainings Sessions
GC University Library & its Society held a grand Seminar on “Cultural Landscape of 150-Year-Old Government College
(University) Lahore” to mark the Varsity‟s Sesquicentennial celebrations on Thursday April 17, 2014 in the historic Bokhari
Auditorium at par with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
A seminar on “Living With Books in the Age of Electronic and Social Media” was organized by Department of Library
and Information Science to commemorate World Book and Copyright Day at Al Razi Hall, Undergraduate Block, University
of the Punjab on April 22, 2014.
PU Central library acknowledged book lovers by distributing books among them. Department of Library and Information
Science, Punjab University also arranged competitions among students, in one of the competition students asked
to write 100-150 words on the “Role of reading in personality development”. The winners of this competition were announced
in the ceremony and were awarded by PU library.
Pakistan Library Association organized a “National Seminar on World Book & Copy Right Day” in collaboration with
PULISAA, PLWO and PAKLAG on 23rd April at 10.00am at Quad-i-Azam Library, the Mall Lahore. A large number of
library professionals attended the seminar. Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan attended the seminar
and shared provincial park libraries initiative with the professional. At the end of the seminar newly elected body of
PULISAA took oath.
On the event of World Book and Copy Right Day Celebrations Department of Library and Information Science, Islamia
University Bahawalpur organized a walk at Baghdad-ul-Jadid Campus at 9:30 am on April 23, 2014 from Department of
Library and Information Science to Main Library and Engineering College. After the walk a seminar on “Future Library
Vision 2025: Treating Library Users as Authors” was organised in the Department of Library and Information Science.
One-Day National Workshop on “Subject Guides: How to create, manage and disseminate an Online A to Z Guide for
Subjects, Databases, Journals, FAQs and Videos” by using SubjectsPlus at H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University
of Karachi on April 24, 2014. The workshop was very interactive, informative and helpful in exploring the creating
of A to Z Online Subject Guides by using SubjectPlus. 61 participants attended this workshop.
One day Seminar on “Emerging Trends and Future of Librarianship” jointly organized by Pakistan Library Association
and central Library Bahauddin Zakarya University Multan on April 28, 2014. Main speaker of the seminar was Dr. Muhammad
Ramzan, Director Library LUMS.
UPLISAA Federal Branch and Bahria University Islamabad Campus jointly organized one day national seminar on
“Advances in Library and Information Science” on May 17, 2014 at Bahria University, Islamabad. It remained a good
opportunity for Library and Information science professionals to share their knowledge and experiences with each other
on new trends in Library and Information Science and management skills and more than 45 LIS professionals enthusiastically
participated in the seminar.
Department of Library and Information Science, IUB organized one day Workshop on “Fundamentals of Research, Ethical

The Department of Library and Information Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore organized a one day workshop on
“Emerging Challenges for Information Professionals in the Punjab University & Strategies to meet them”. The workshop
was designed specifically for the PU Librarians to sensitize them regarding future challenges in academic librarianship
and strategies to meet them. Altogether 43 library professionals attended this workshop.

Frontiers Institute of Medical Science (FIMS) in collaboration with Vertex College of Science & Technology Islamabad
and Pakistan Information Literacy and Library Movement (PAK-ILLM) organized one day seminar on “Role of Libraries
in National Development of Pakistan” on May 31, 2014.
The National Library of Engineering Sciences, University of Engineering & Technology Lahore organized a three days
training workshop on KOHA Library Management System for library professional staff of the departmental libraries. The
workshop was held on June 3-5, 2014 at Information Resource Center of NLES. Twenty Two librarians and staff members
of departmental libraries and KSK campus libraries attended the workshop.
The Department of Library and Information Science, University of the Punjab in collaboration with Institute of Applied
Psychology and Center for Clinical Psychology University of the Punjab organized one day workshop on “Managing Qualitative
Research with Nvivo 10 on June 6, 2014. The workshop was designed specifically for the faculty members,
M.Phil and PhD scholars of IAP, CCP and DLIS PU to enable them to understand qualitative research and various applications
of qualitative research analysis software (NVivo). Sixty two scholars attended this workshop.
Pakistan Library Club (PLC) and Pakistan Library Automation Group (PAKLAG) in collaboration with the National
University-FAST, Karachi Campus organized a Seminar on “Managing Data: bibliographic standards and formats in
digital age” on June 21, 2014.
Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization Federal Branch in collaboration with Riphah International University, Islamabad
jointly organized 3-days national symposium on “Social Science Research” from June 20-22, 2014. It remained very
successful event at Riphah International University. Worthy Vice Chancellor, Riphah International University, Prof. Dr.
Anis Ahmed, delivered his keynote address to more than 40 participants of national symposium. On third day of the symposium,
the participants visited Youth Development Centre Murree.
Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization (PLWO), Quaid-e-Azam Library and Pakistan Library Automation Group
(PAKLAG) organized two hours seminar on “Innovations in Saudi University Libraries: An insider‟s view” at Quaid-e-
Azam Library, the mall Lahore on Wednesday, 25 th June 2014 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
Department of Library and Information Science, University of Peshawar organized “Three Day National Workshop at
Bara Gali Summer Campus of University of Peshawar from 24-26 June, 2014 for library and Information Science Professionals.
Pakistan Library Club (PLC) Islamabad Chapter in collaboration with Armed Forces Post-Graduate Medical Institute
(AFPGMI) organized “One Day Seminar on Emerging LIS Skills & Trends in Digital Age” on Saturday June 28, 2014 at
AFPGMI, CMH Medical Complex Rawalpindi.

Books" in Halqa Arbab-e-Zouq, Islamabad, at Writer's House, Pakistan Academy of Letters Islamabad on April 18, 2014
at 7pm to celebrate "International Book Day.
AVT-Khyber arranged a live Program on World Book and Copyright Day. Mr. Ibrar Muhammad, Chief Librarian, University
of Peshawar, was the guest Speaker of the Program. The program was aired at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on 22 April,

Pakistan Information Literacy & Library Movement (PAK-ILLM) has launched on April 23, 2014 on "World Book &
Copyright Day 2014" to provide a platform to the researchers, academia, professionals, Government and NGOs having
interest in promotion of information literacy and libraries in the Country.
Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization HQ and Punjab Branch jointly organizing 2nd Annual Dinner and Musical
Night at Royal Palm Country Club, Lahore on April 26, 2014. It was a very successful event, information professionals
and educationist applauded this event. More than 180 participants were there at this annual dinner and musical night.
Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Chairperson, DLIS, and the students of Ph.D class at DLIS have taken the initiative of delivering
lectures about creating awareness regarding book reading among school students. On April 29, 2014 first lecture of this
series was delivered at Govt. Nusrat-ul-Islam Girls High School, Multan. Senior headmistress, teachers and students of
the school welcomed the speakers and appreciated this initiative.
On May 2, 2014 all heads, deans have endorsed recommendation of the DPCC of the University of the Punjab, regarding
waving off NTS/GAT test in upcoming M. Phil and PhD admissions in the light of High Court's decision
Mr. Abid Ali Gill has retired as Chief librarian form Quaid-e-Azam Library Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore on May 18, 2014. During
his job he has served at many government organizations and has many achievements for the Quaid-e-Azam Library
and Library Professionals, particularly in revival of PLA and College Librarians Service structure. Chief Minister Punjab,
Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has awarded commendation certificate to Mr. Abid Ali Gill, in recognition of his outstanding
performance as a civil servant on March 15, 2014 along with a cash reward of Rs.50000.
PLWO and leading publisher "Emerald Publishing Group" has signed an agreement regarding "ONLINE COURSES"
offered jointly by Emerald Publishing Group, ASLIB and Abreystwyth University, UK on special discount for PLWO

Dr. Zaheer Ahmad Babar Director General, Directorate of Public Libraries, Punjab has been assigned the task of holding
PLA Elections. He will work as Election Officer for PLA elections. He will share schedule of elections with PLA members.
The decision has been made in PLA HQ meeting held on May 31, 2014.
Shakeel A. Khan‟s paper titled "Professional Issues and Challenges Confronted by Pakistan Library Association in the
