DI COKE’S COMPETITION CORNER
This month, we’ve teamed up with SICK! Festival to offer three competition winners a pair of tickets
to a show of their choice. The award-winning festival returns to Brighton from 20th - 26th March, with
a thought-provoking programme of UK premieres featuring groundbreaking theatre, dance, film and
public art from around the world.
For your chance to win, let us know which show you’d like to win tickets for, and why. The three most
compelling entries will win a pair of tickets to their preferred performance. View the full programme of
events at sickfestival.com.
Email your entry (maximum 30 words) to competitions@vivamagazines.com with the subject ‘February
Competition’. The closing date is 28th February, and winning entries will feature in the April issue. Full
terms and conditions can be found at vivabrighton.com/competitions.
SICK! Festival aims to confront and challenge the
taboos around social, physical and mental health
issues through the arts. It’s supported by postshow
discussions and public debates to break down
barriers and discuss the issues that really matter.
In American Man, you can be drawn into the not-toodistant
future, where celebrity power and political
correctness have reached new heights, while The
Game uses real-life sex-worker testimonies and five
male volunteers from Brighton to show that when
you play the game, the consequences are very real.
COMPETITION WINNER
In December we asked readers to pen a
cosy winter-themed poem with us, and we’re
delighted to share the winning entry from
Nuala Roberts. Nuala wins a La Montaña
candle and poster from Wick Candle
Boutique in Hove.
A snuggly throw, fleecy socks,
Watching “The Snowman” on the box;
Toasting marshmallows on an open fire,
A mug of hot chocolate, a Christmas choir;
Friends round, mulled wine, chatting all night
By the soft warm glow of candlelight.
Di Coke is very probably the UK’s foremost ‘comper’, having won over £300,000-worth of prizes. For winning
