Arsenio Nicolas is currently teaching graduate courses at the College of Music, Mahasarakham University, Thailand and is<br />

a member of the Editorial Board of the new Online SPAFA Journal. He has conducted extended field music research since<br />

1973 in the Philippines, Java, Bali, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and the United States, with funding from the<br />

University of the Philippines, the Indonesian Government, National University of Malaysia, the Ford Foundation, National<br />

Museum of Ethnology (Osaka), the Japan Foundation, the Nippon Foundation, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, Cornell<br />

University, SEAMEO-SPAFA Bangkok, and Mahasarakham University. His current project is on Music Archaeology and<br />
