Kriek<br />
Kriek is a style of lambic with the aroma,<br />
taste and color of sour cherries and<br />
a sweetness to charm even the most<br />
hesitant non-beer drinker. Lambic beers<br />
undergo spontaneous fermentation<br />
with matured wild yeast and are aged<br />
in oak barrels, very similar to wine.<br />
Fermentation takes place exclusively in<br />
the Senne Valley, south-east of Brussels,<br />
the only place in the world where the<br />
wild yeast is found.<br />

Duvel<br />
Originally, the Breendonck brewer<br />
used to give his brand new beer to<br />
the town baker to taste. “Devil” or<br />
Duvel in Antwerp province dialect,<br />
is innocent and begulling at first,<br />
with a soft, light palate. A style<br />
unto itself.<br />
