The Pauline Quirke Academy is a weekend performing arts
school for 4-18 year olds - and due to popular demand PQA
Wolverhampton is opening a new afternoon Academy on Saturday
4 th March.
Students spend three hours with us, rotating through hour long
sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television.
Our specialist modules, packed full of tips that Pauline has learnt from
nearly 50 years in the business, will teach you everything you need
to know to act, sing, dance or direct like a professional. By working
with people we believe are outstanding in their field, we aim to provide
our students with a constantly evolving experience- something that is
fresh, exciting and bang up-to-date.
PQA believe in inspiring and rewarding our students, so we offer free
group Trinity exams, masterclasses, cinema screenings, the chance to

New education

gardeners
Young green-fingered
enthusiasts are
being invited to join
Birmingham Botanical
Gardens for its latest
educational venture:
the Schools Gardening
Club.
The club, which costs
£3 per child per session,
will take place once
a month between
March and July 2017,
and invites pupils to
learn about exciting
and topical gardening themes, such as plants for food, plants for
decoration, wildlife and wider issues.
At the end of every session, pupils will receive a Children’s University
credit, as well as a certificate of attendance once they have finished
the programme.
The Schools Gardening Club is designed to help pupils engage with
concepts such as healthy living, healthy eating and sustainability,
and makes important links with other subject areas, such as English,
maths, science and art.
