JS New Year Message First of all … Happy New Year! I would like to let you know that last year we achieved the highest profit ever in our history...let's see the evolution from 2013 to 2016 below … WHAT CHANGED? - Revenue: 21%↑ - C/Profit: 95%↑ - ASP : 60%↑ HOW WE DID THIS? We focused more in premium models than ever before and ASP improved dramatically. This year will be very challengeable for us and we can easily find the symptoms of the 4th industrial revolution which is bringing digital, physical, biological system like AI. In Portugal, we suffered from Note7 issue painfully but we learned a lot of things and we're sure to overcome this....HOW? Let's focus on our Premium Products, generating B2B with good partners (app. providers) and On-line Business. Those will show the best way to cope with the uncertainties of the future. Jong Soo Kim
BUSINESS OVERVIEW 2016 was a bitter sweet year in which in one side we have achieved remarkable results and milestones – making us achieve the Management Plan - namely, in DA we have made a record year in both Sales & Profit with the excellent launch campaign of AddWash. In TV we have turn back to growing momentum and set the base for a promising 2017, in IT & B2B we have implemented some breakthrough projects like Smart Stadium in FC Porto and PT 2020 Project. This are just the Top of the Iceberg we must keep preparing ourselves for the future in order to turn B2B a new revenue stream for the long run. Our mission is very clear and we are taking the right preparation to reach it already in 2017. The sourer part of 2016 came more from the IM area where we had to face strategically changes in portfolio and Note 7 incident, to both we have responded firmly and securing our future position but we failed to avoid its impact in total business results having achieved 83% of Management Plan. With all this taken in consideration our total result was 89% of MP. As we have seen in December General Meeting over the past 3 years SEP has been leading Sales Growth within Europe and it is now time to continue our journey. We have ambitious goals, the best and innovative products of the market, talented people and a common passion to make it happen in Portugal. The product and brand strategy is aligned between all teams and I would just like to highlight three main initiatives for growth (1) Digital, (2) B2B and (3) Premium Market Expansion.
