Recommendations for councillor<br />
numbers and wards - Renfrewshire<br />
The Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland has submitted its recommendation<br />
on councillor numbers and wards for each of Scotland’s 32 local authority areas to Scottish<br />
Ministers. These recommendations arise from the Fifth Reviews of Local Government Electoral<br />
Arrangements which began in February 2014.<br />
Under the recommendations, representation of the electorate within council<br />
areas will be more evenly shared between councillors.<br />
The recommendations for the Renfrewshire Council area are for a council<br />
of 43 councillors in 12 wards, comprising seven wards each returning four<br />
members and five wards each returning three members as follows:<br />
