Hawthorn Afterschool Program<br />
Monday-Friday: Morning 6-9 am • Afternoon 2-6 pm<br />
Locations: Hawthorn Elementary North & South<br />
The Hawthorn Afterschool Program (HAP) is designed to provide positive afterschool activities for<br />
elementary students within a safe, secure, and enriching environment. Under the supervision<br />
of our trained and qualified leadership staff, your child will have the opportunity to engage in<br />
education and recreation activities geared to the interest of the participants. All activities are<br />
designed to foster teamwork, health and wellness, positive attitudes, and self-esteem.<br />
During holidays (as observed by School District 73) HAP will not be in operation. Families also<br />
have the opportunity to register for our School’s Out Program. An early release day option is also<br />
available for an additional fee to your daily rate.<br />
Students in 6th grade are responsible for walking themselves to their designated school site. A<br />
waiver will be issued to parents of 6th grade students.<br />

A $150 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. This deposit is applied towards<br />
your fees. Registration Packets and Parent Handbooks are available at the <strong>Su</strong>llivan Community Center.<br />

What can your child do when school is not<br />
in session? Join us for “School’s Out”. We<br />
offer a wide variety of recreational activities<br />
that allow children to develop their social<br />
skills, including sports, games, arts and<br />
crafts, and much more! Please send your<br />
child with a sack lunch and two snacks.<br />
