Before Honey Smoked
Salmon grew into the
company it is today,
Grandfather of upcoming
CEO, Skyler Mason, began
growing the roots that would lead the
company to develop it into the company it
is today. The Mason family has been in the
fish business for a long time. In fact, Skyler’s
Grandfather was in the kosher fish
market.
The Mason family is from Calabasas,
Los Angeles. This is where Skyler Mason
was born, and at 3 months old his family
moved out to Evergreen, Colorado.
The product was developed because
Skyler’s Father wanted to create a nutritional
and tasty product. As with many
good ideas, the Honey Smoked Salmon
company stationed in a garage with a simple
meat smoker. After many long hours,
and a lot of heart and passion, business
began to blossom. Now, the company
products have been developed so well that
they have a trade secret family recipe - this
is why Honey Smoked Salmon tastes so
good!
As of recent, for the past two years,
Honey Smoked Salmon began to market
their product in Colorado, and produce
ads. The Masons tested the market, and
the market positively responded. Traction
began to happen. As a health state in
general, Colorado took a liking to the company
product, as it is rich in omega-3’s and

protein. Already, the company distributes
nationally, though they have only sponsored
ads in a handful of select places.

For Skyler, he is about to take on his
Father’s company. As a recent college
graduate from San Diego, Skyler is prepared
with his marketing business degree.
Growing up, he watched his parents take
a small business and build it into a large
company.
Company goals relate to a quote from
Sir Isaac Newton: “If I have seen further
than others, it is by standing on the shoulders
of giants.”
He believes that he can take what his
parents have built, and expand the company
even further. Armed with business
knowledge, and a passion for the company,
he is ready for the next level. He wants
to be able to have everyone around the nation
be aware of what they do, as well as
become consumers of a more nutritional
food to improve health by eating salmon
with high protein, and omega- 3s. He
wants his family product to be in hotels,
restaurants, and resorts. Additionally, he
would like people to get a sense of who
their family is.

Skyler keeps healthy by eating salmon
every day. He is also a body and Power-
Builder. He believes that you should take
care of your body and your mind. Read
books as well as work out. To keep sharp,
he reads inspirational books and is very
disciplined.
