The Tinley Park Park District leads the charge in
providing quality recreational programs and facilities in
Tinley Park. With more than 420 acres of parklands and
facilities – including the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation
Center, White Water Canyon and the Vogt Visual Arts
Center – there are plenty of things to do for those looking
to get out and get moving!
The Bettenhausen Recreation Center is the central hub and
main office of the Tinley Park Park District. It contains a
gym with three full-length basketball courts, a walking/
jogging track and plenty of meeting and activity rooms
that host many of the Park District’s recreational programs
and events.
Right next door is White Water Canyon Water Park,
which offers two slides, a lazy river, a zero-depth entry
pool, a diving board, a sand play area, a spray ground, a
concessions stand and plenty of places to just lay out and
lounge.
Right between the Recreation Center and Water Park
is Tinley Fitness, a full-service fitness center that offers
affordable membership plans and daily rates for visitors
who want to maintain their fitness routine. The Park District
strives to provide programs and facilities that will increase
options to help residents lead a healthy lifestyle.
