Tinley Park is undertaking a complete rebranding
effort that focuses on music, and for good reason –
the Village is home to a multitude of entertainment venues,
cultural programs, fine arts performances and exhibits that
provide ample opportunity for enjoyment and enrichment
through music and art.
Popular live music acts can be found at the Hollywood
Casino Amphitheatre. The Park District’s Vogt Visual Arts
Center is the setting for many local art exhibits and cultural
events and activities.
Throughout the year, several different companies perform
classical music and opera and the Tinley Park-Park District
features the Tinley Park Community Band, as well as groups
for writing and poetry.
In addition to the many establishments that boast intimate
music venues, many events are held in Downtown Tinley,
including the Music in the Plaza concert series, weekly
Tuesday evening Cruise Nights, the annual Caribbean Block
Party, the weekly spring and summer Farmer’s Markets, the
three-day Holiday Market and more.
The Tinley Park Public Library is a popular place among
people of all ages. The library loans out books, audio
books, videos and DVDs, music CDs, magazines and other
materials. Patrons also have access to the collections
of more than 85 other libraries. Popular meeting areas
include the young adult program room and a fully stocked
coffeehouse. Additionally, the library hosts book discussion
groups, children’s story times, cooking classes and many
other gatherings.

Tinley Park is home to a wide array of shopping
establishments, ranging from small specialty stores to
large retail chains. Whether searching for everyday items
or seeking a one-of-a-kind gift, area retailers and service
providers are diverse and accessible. Large, well-known
stores line the area, while numerous local retailers thrive
in Downtown Tinley and surrounding business districts.
Major grocery stores, national chain stores, shopping malls,
an abundance of specialty shops and more offer virtually
unlimited choices to consumers. Furthermore, plenty
of dining options appeal to a wide variety of tastes with
literally something for every palate.
A host of diverse shopping centers can be found in Tinley
Park. Large retail outlets such as Super Target, Kohl’s,
Dick’s Sporting Goods and Best Buy anchor Brookside
Marketplace, while the strip malls of Park Place, Tinley Park
Plaza and Downtown Tinley offer everything from groceries
to clothing and accessories.
Nearby Orland Park is home to the upscale Orland Square
Mall, which is the largest mall in the south suburbs. Some of
the popular stores include Macy’s, Sears, Carson Pirie Scott,
JCPenney , J. Crew, Williams-Sonoma and much more.
Dining options in the Village are practically limitless.

delivery establishments and fast food chains to sports bars,
