<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> IDENTIFIERS<br />
There are two graphical elements which identify The<br />
<strong>Richard</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong>. One is the<br />
college seal which is appropriate for use on <strong>of</strong>ficial<br />
college publications (i.e., Presidential publications,<br />
letterhead, business cards, commencement covers, etc.).<br />
The second graphical element is a series <strong>of</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong> word marks. These word marks should be<br />
utilized when the use <strong>of</strong> the seal is either inapropriate for<br />
the publication, or would appear too small and illegible.<br />

Design Guidelines<br />
Approval<br />
Upon recommendation by President Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr., the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees, at its December 10,<br />
2003, Open/Public Meeting, unanimously approved the design <strong>of</strong> a new The <strong>Richard</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> Corporate Seal.<br />
Purpose<br />
The seal and word marks represent the history, culture, physical location, and pursuit <strong>of</strong> academic excellence<br />
at The <strong>Richard</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong>. The seal and/or word marks may be used on<br />
<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> communication which reflects the <strong>College</strong>’s mission or administration, including any<br />
printed materials, presentations, websites, merchandise and signage. Furthermore, the seal should be<br />
used only in connection with The <strong>Richard</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> - sponsored or The <strong>Richard</strong><br />
<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> - sanctioned activities or materials.<br />
Faculty, staff, students, and volunteers must adhere to the approved use <strong>of</strong> The <strong>Richard</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> seal and name as stipulated by the following criteria:<br />

<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> ‘DISTINCTIVE’ TAGLINE<br />
<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> has been branded as “<strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong>’s<br />
Distinctive Public <strong>College</strong>”. With that in mind a tagline<br />
logo and graphical element have been designed to<br />
illustrate this point. The Distinctive tagline should appear<br />
in a proportionate size to <strong>College</strong> indentifiers and in an<br />
appropriate location within the publication.<br />
<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> FONTS<br />
The <strong>of</strong>ficial fonts for <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> seal and word<br />
mars are Amerigo Md BT and Swiss 721. Each features<br />
a variety <strong>of</strong> styles and weights and is available for PC or<br />
MAC. Graphics Production can supply these fonts to<br />
departments that do not have them installed on their<br />
computers.<br />

<strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> COLORS<br />
The <strong>of</strong>ficial colors <strong>of</strong> <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong> are black and<br />
white, with accent colors <strong>of</strong> blue (PMS 292) and yellow<br />
(PMS 123). Gold metallic ink (Pantone #874) or silver<br />
metallic ink (Pantone # 877) may be used on high quality<br />
communications. Gold foil (#424 ) or silver foil (#420 )<br />
stamping may also be used when printing on the highest<br />
quality communications.<br />
CLEAR space<br />
The minimum clear space area ensures that other<br />
elements do not infringe upon the identifiers allowing<br />
them to be easily seen and recognized. Do not place<br />
other graphics or typography in the minimum clear<br />

Background Colors<br />
The identifiers may be placed on any background color<br />
that provides sufficient contrast. There is a special version<br />
<strong>of</strong> the seal artwork for use when there is insufficient contrast<br />
between the seal and background colors. The artwork incorporates<br />
a larger white background circle, which separates<br />
the seal from the colored background. The identifers may<br />
also be knocked out <strong>of</strong> a colored background (see samples). Seal placed on background<br />
