Stockton College IDENTIFIERS
There are two graphical elements which identify The
Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. One is the
college seal which is appropriate for use on official
college publications (i.e., Presidential publications,
letterhead, business cards, commencement covers, etc.).
The second graphical element is a series of Stockton
College word marks. These word marks should be
utilized when the use of the seal is either inapropriate for
the publication, or would appear too small and illegible.

Design Guidelines
Approval
Upon recommendation by President Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr., the Board of Trustees, at its December 10,
2003, Open/Public Meeting, unanimously approved the design of a new The Richard Stockton College
of New Jersey Corporate Seal.
Purpose
The seal and word marks represent the history, culture, physical location, and pursuit of academic excellence
at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. The seal and/or word marks may be used on
Stockton College communication which reflects the College’s mission or administration, including any
printed materials, presentations, websites, merchandise and signage. Furthermore, the seal should be
used only in connection with The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey - sponsored or The Richard
Stockton College of New Jersey - sanctioned activities or materials.
Faculty, staff, students, and volunteers must adhere to the approved use of The Richard Stockton College
of New Jersey seal and name as stipulated by the following criteria:

Stockton College ‘DISTINCTIVE’ TAGLINE
Stockton College has been branded as “New Jersey’s
Distinctive Public College”. With that in mind a tagline
logo and graphical element have been designed to
illustrate this point. The Distinctive tagline should appear
in a proportionate size to College indentifiers and in an
appropriate location within the publication.
Stockton College FONTS
The official fonts for Stockton College seal and word
mars are Amerigo Md BT and Swiss 721. Each features
a variety of styles and weights and is available for PC or
MAC. Graphics Production can supply these fonts to
departments that do not have them installed on their
computers.

Stockton College COLORS
The official colors of Stockton College are black and
white, with accent colors of blue (PMS 292) and yellow
(PMS 123). Gold metallic ink (Pantone #874) or silver
metallic ink (Pantone # 877) may be used on high quality
communications. Gold foil (#424 ) or silver foil (#420 )
stamping may also be used when printing on the highest
quality communications.
CLEAR space
The minimum clear space area ensures that other
elements do not infringe upon the identifiers allowing
them to be easily seen and recognized. Do not place
other graphics or typography in the minimum clear
space area.

Background Colors
The identifiers may be placed on any background color
that provides sufficient contrast. There is a special version
of the seal artwork for use when there is insufficient contrast
between the seal and background colors. The artwork incorporates
a larger white background circle, which separates
the seal from the colored background. The identifers may
also be knocked out of a colored background (see samples). Seal placed on background
