Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communications is the wireless transmission of crucial
safety data/operational information between vehicles, and roadway infrastructure.
For the purposes of avoiding motor vehicle crashes E-Logs Technology is currently
testing multiple communication platforms designed to save lives. Vehicle to Infrastructure
applications are key to smarter transportation systems that’ll soon reinvent the
future of logistics and highway travel. Such applicable tests address critical crash scenarios
and challenge current transportation status quos.
This is not limited to the manipulation of traffic signal timing information sent from
emergency responder vehicles via wireless networks. Purposeful influencing of traffic
signal timing will enable emergency vehicles to arrive on scene as quickly as possible
A “Communicore” publication summarizes
sudden cardiac arrest as
the most common critical emergency,
striking more than 350,000
people annually in the US alone.
About 90% of those treated within
two minutes will survive. Fatal
results typically follow treatment of
sudden emergencies with only
about 10% surviving if help arrives
only 6 minutes after.
These situations are no respecter of location
or timing. A sudden emergency will take
place regardless of a victim’s whereabouts.
E-Logs will employ advanced V2I wireless
technologies to mitigate about 20% of crash
scenarios not addressed by its V2V platform.
The latest effort to develop active emergency
prevention is expected to bring forth exciting
results. E-Logs practices maintaining a high
level of infrastructure support for V2I safety
platforms maximizing transportation safety
and efficiency.
