I’m delighted to welcome you to our <strong>2017</strong> TSM Festival,<br />

my first as Artistic Director! This summer, in celebration<br />

of Canada’s Sesquicentennial, we will explore the music<br />

of Canada and feature the very best of Canada’s many<br />

world-renowned classical performers.<br />

Please join me in welcoming many of my friends to our<br />

<strong>Toronto</strong> stage this summer. Our season includes a<br />

one-week residency by superstar Canadian violinist<br />

James Ehnes; acclaimed soprano Soile Isokoski in recital;<br />

a tribute to beloved Canadian pianist Anton Kuerti;<br />

cherished leading ensembles such as the St. Lawrence<br />

and Rolston String Quartets; our own National Youth<br />

Orchestra of Canada; and festive TSM traditions A Night<br />

At The Opera, and the Last Night of the Festival, eh!<br />

I invite you to join us and celebrate the vibrant tradition<br />

of music in Canada!<br />
