Parental Support for Kiski
The heart of the Kiski experience is rooted in family. When a family joins our larger Kiski
community, the choice may be driven by a desire for a rigorous, college-preparatory experience.
The experience will include the opportunity to participate in athletics with an exposure to the
arts and culture thrown in for good measure. But when one looks at the Kiski experience as a
whole, it has a common thread that runs through it – a commitment to provide support and a
sense of family.
The wealth of memories a young man gains from his time at Kiski will last a lifetime. We like
to think of enrollment as a “lifetime membership” in an extraordinary group. And the School
benefits, every day, from each and every young man in its charge. Simply put, we are a better
school, a better place for your sons to set goals for themselves, to think for themselves, to get
along with others, and to accept responsibility. It goes beyond the classroom; it goes beyond
the athletic fields. It’s living the culture.
Part of the benefit of being a member of the Kiski family is witnessing the growth and
metamorphosis of our young men. Part of what we like to refer to as “the Kiski experience” is
the sharing of these moments coupled with the realization that all must work together in order
to maintain the unique and remarkable atmosphere and culture that exists here. The
responsibility is large; the mission is simple. In order for Kiski to maintain and continue the
practice of preparing young men for college and for life, we all must join together and keep the
positive momentum moving forward. Only through our partnering can we keep this very
special school healthy and vibrant.
It is our wish that all Kiski families will feel that participation in the life of the School is part of
the complete picture of what it means to be part of our community. Through volunteerism,
becoming a Class Agent, attending a Family Weekend, or through financial support, we want
all families to be a part of the school. Our parent community has always embraced the idea of
School support with generosity and enthusiasm. And we hope that this will continue well into
the future. It is through this generosity of spirit that the Kiski tradition lives on.
