The Spirit Is Building
We have taken a long journey and to
fully appreciate and understand how
we got here, we need to take a look back at
where we came from.
It was mentioned earlier about purchase
of land from Mr. Bob Gillard. But that was
only the beginning. As you’ll see by the
timeline, many events went into effect to
make this beautiful center a reality. It would
not have happened without the hundreds of
volunteers who came forward dedicating their
time, talent and treasure to the project.
Archbishop Harry Flynn presided over
Mass during Dedication Day on October 26,
2003 and proclaimed, “You are an outstanding
witness of what a church should be. Your are
an outstanding witness of what can happen
in a church when people under Jesus Christ
come together and do something very beautiful
for God. And this building. This edifice.
Is something that is very very beautiful for God.
I congratulate you.”
The community united as one and lived
