Luau Night with Youth Ministry. The newest addition to the building is a set of stained glass windows in the Chapel. Designed by Fr. Jim Schoenberger and made by Larry Link, these glass panels are a beautiful reminder of faith in action. Action is also happening outside, where classes are able to take full advantage of basketball courts, two playgrounds and several ball fields. There is a large grass play area and a park right across the street. New uses and benefits of the Catholic Education Center continue to surface daily. The CEC is a dream come true for Shakopee and as one teacher recently said, “We’re still waiting to wake up!” Pickup game of volleyball. Accelerated Reader goal poster. We are to share in his death and Resurrection. They are to be part of our lives by trying not to sin and rising to a better life through grace: God’s, life. This we receive through the sacraments: Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Mass, Confirmation. These are the sacraments children of this school have received and do receive. EUCHARIST & MASS Chalice & Hosts — Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Christ. Also the liturgy of the Eucharist of the Mass. Book — The Word of God; The Bible; The Lectionary which contains the reading of the Mass; the liturgy of the word. CONFIRMATION Dove — Holy Spirit who increases God’s Life in us. 7 Red Tongues of Fire — Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit Acts 2;13 — Then there appeared to tongues as of fire which comes to rest on each one them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 11;2,3 — The spirit of the word shall rest upon him. A spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, and Fear of the Lord.
