Basketball

This year, the Mavericks were a very young, determined team. The team consisted of three grade twelves,
four grade elevens and five grade tens. The girls knew that they had a lot of work ahead of them and
pushed to be the best they could be all season. Team chemistry came easily and they improved leaps and
bounds over the season. Within the season, the girls won their home tournament, placed second in two
tournaments in their zone and third and fourth in tournaments in Edmonton. They finished the season
21:8. Charles Spencer is excited to be at provincials for the third consecutive year and looks forward to
seeing the best basketball in Alberta. Thank-you to the host schools and the organizers for all their time
to make this great event happen.
