You receive 100% of the value of the gift card purchased, and St. Mark’s receives a percentage ranging from 2% to 15% of the total value of each gift card. Toy Drive for Children in Need New toys are sought for toddlers through middle school aged children. The Outreach Committee, in conjunction with the City of Palm Beach Gardens’ Police Department, will collect toys for children in need beginning Saturday, November 26 through Sunday, December 11. Boxes will be placed in the narthex to collect the unwrapped toys. If you prefer not to shop, donations are being accepted. Please make checks payable to St. Mark’s and in the memo section note “Toy Drive.” There will also be an opportunity to volunteer to wrap the toys at a local store on PGA Blvd. Please contact Meg Scholp, 622.5138, for more information and to volunteer to wrap. I just wanted to thank everyone who made a donation to the Capital Campaign to build the Gym and furnish the Youth Room. The St. Mark’s Youth Room is such a great place for us to meet and gather so we can go out into the world and help those less fortunate. Currently in the campaign’s leadership development phase (gifts of $250,000+ over five‐years), families prepared to make a gift should call the Capital Campaign office, 622.1504 ext. 232. Highlights Congratulations to Meg Scholp, church member, who was presented with the Quantum House “Volunteer of the Year” award. The Quantum House provides “a caring place to call home” for families while their children are receiving treatments for serious medical conditions in Palm Beach County. Volunteers needed for St. George’s 20 th Annual Thanksgiving Meal on Thursday, November 24: �� bake stuffing, pies and cakes �� set‐up, cook, serve and clean‐up Please see the sign‐up sheet in the narthex to volunteer. Donations are graciously being accepted to help pay for the food. Please make checks payable to St. Mark’s and in the memo section note “Thanksgiving at St. George’s.” For information, call Dale George, 622.1356. St. Mark’s to host Family Promise guests December 11‐18. Volunteers are needed to help with set‐up, meals, overnight hosting, activities, and clean‐ up. Look for the sign‐up sheets following all services next weekend. Outreach ministry is very rewarding, and we hope that you will consider volunteering. United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of the Episcopal Church. Through the UTO, men, women and children nurture the habit of giving daily thanks to God. Many people use the “blue boxes” to give money in thanksgiving of the many blessings in their life. Blue UTO envelopes or blue boxes, located in the pews, the narthex or church office, may be used for your contributions. Please make checks payable to St. Mark’s and in the memo section note “UTO.” Money collected supports mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church and Anglican Provinces in the developing world.
