complete a 240-hour internship
in the wind industry to gain
valuable work experience and
must also take general education
classes that advance computer,
communication, and soft skills.
The NJC wind program recently
graduated the second class of 17
technicians in May 2012. Within
three months of graduation, 14 of
the 17 students were employed
as technicians with GE, NextEra
Energy, Invenergy, enXco, and
Blattner Energy. The remaining
three students are continuing
their education in business or
engineering.
What sets NJC’s wind program
