My First Ballet: Cinderella at Peacock Theatre Enjoy everyone’s favourite rags-to-riches story, in a beautifully adapted ballet version for children aged three upwards. Cinderella is tormented by her stepsisters and she can only dream of attending the Prince’s glamourous ball. Abandoned to an evening of drudgery, she is visited by her Fairy Godmother who transforms her into a glittering Princess who shall go to the ball. With a narrator to help the young audience follow the story, and a shortened version of Prokofiev’s ravishing score, this is the perfect introduction to the magic of ballet, and a fantastic family day out. This unique collaboration between English National Ballet and English National Ballet School is choreographed by George Williamson and performed by second year students of English National Ballet School. Family Open Event at Datchet Water Sailing Club – 20th and 21st May Datchet Water Sailing Club will be hosting an event to get people out on the water on the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Push the Boat Out weekend. Complete beginners from aged 8-80 are invited along for advice and instruction or simply to have a go for the first time on the Queen Mother Reservoir. You can try dinghies and catamarans, take part in taster sailing sessions or try Stand Up Paddle boarding. The club, based at the Queen Mother Reservoir in Horton Road, Datchet is one of the many clubs around the country taking part in the RYA Push the Boat Out weekend.
