From 31st March, Redwings Oxhill near<br />

Banbury (CV35 0RP) will be hosting a<br />

jam-packed schedule of donkey-themed<br />

fun – plus entry is free!<br />

Get to meet adorable donkeys nose-tonose,<br />

including ir<strong>res</strong>istibly cute part-bred<br />

Poitou donkey Arya, and enjoy fascinating<br />

talks from those who <strong>lo</strong>ok after them.<br />

Saturday, Sunday and Monday,<br />

10am to 4pm (c<strong>lo</strong>sed Tuesdays,<br />

Wednesdays and Thursdays).<br />

Hatton welcomes their new<br />

spring born arrivals!<br />

There’s so much to see and do at Hatton Adventure World<br />

but Easter is always a favourite time to visit when the popular family<br />

attraction welcomes its extended family of new spring born animals.<br />

Visit the New Arrivals Marquee and meet their Spring new<br />

arrivals including chicks, ducklings, piglets, bunnies, goats and even<br />

Joeys. Take your seat on the Springtime Tractor Safari; meet the<br />

Masters of the Skies in the fantastic NEW Falconry Area and Falconry<br />

Displays; enter the Easter Egg Hunts with yummy prizes to be won<br />

and place your bets – the famous Hatton Sheepstakes are back!<br />

PLUS, there will be Animal Handling, Magic and Puppet Shows,<br />

Outdoor Laser Combat (8yrs+), Fun Fair Rides (younger children) and<br />

of course their huge indoor softplay area Snorty’s Superslide Mania!<br />

There will also be a special competition taking place in the Arts and<br />

Crafts tent for budding artists to draw a picture of Easter at Hatton.<br />

Entries will be displayed at the end of the Easter holidays when three<br />

winners will be chosen from the fol<strong>lo</strong>wing age groups: 4yrs and under,<br />

5-7yrs, and age 8yrs+.<br />

Three lucky winners will receive £30 in Hatton Adventure World<br />

vouchers and have their winning picture published in the <strong>lo</strong>cal p<strong>res</strong>s.<br />

Be Dog Smart is Dogs Trust’s<br />

successful campaign helping<br />

families understand more about<br />

how to behave around dogs in<br />

order to keep themselves safe.<br />

Our <strong>res</strong>ources contain <strong>lo</strong>ts of<br />

helpful tips and advice for parents<br />

to teach their children how to<br />

be safe around dogs whether at<br />

home or out and about.<br />

Easter at Stratford<br />

Butterfly Farm<br />

There is something for visitors of all ages to<br />

discover this Easter at Stratford Butterfly Farm<br />

including the opening of brand new toilet<br />

facilities. Twice daily from 10th-21st April,<br />

children and adults can get c<strong>lo</strong>se to some<br />

amazing creatu<strong>res</strong> with ‘Meet the Minibeast’<br />

handling sessions under the supervision of the<br />

friendly and informative Education Team in the<br />

Discovery Zone.<br />

In the Rainfo<strong>res</strong>t Flight Area families can walk amongst hundreds of beautiful,<br />

tropical butterflies and discover the link that the Butterfly Farm has to the<br />

rainfo<strong>res</strong>ts of Belize and the ancient Maya civilisation. In Minibeast Metropolis<br />

visitors can find some of the world’s largest spiders living a<strong>lo</strong>ngside beetles, stick<br />

insects and reptiles. Running overhead on ropes are leafcutter ants working<br />

hard collecting leaves to bring back to their co<strong>lo</strong>ny. The co<strong>lo</strong>ny is now one of the<br />

largest on display in the UK and a fascinating sight to behold!<br />

Cracking Easter<br />

At Birdland<br />

There’s a host of egg-citing Easter events and activities taking place<br />

at Birdland throughout the holidays (Saturday 1st – Sunday 23th<br />

April).<br />

As well as Easter trails, quizzes and daily egg-themed talks and<br />

shows, the G<strong>lo</strong>ucestershire wildlife attraction is also expecting some<br />

egg-stra special new arrivals in their hatchery.<br />

Dozens of eggs in special incubators are due to hatch out over the<br />

Easter break and visitors will have the rare opportunity of watching<br />

the newborn chicks make their entry into the world.<br />

Families can also join in the Easter Challenge Quiz, hunting down 10<br />

hidden eggs around the park and answering some fun ornitho<strong>lo</strong>gical<br />

questions.<br />
