Six British War Veterans still wrongly imprisoned in Indian Jail. Join our Petition for their release
Six British veterans that were convicted of
arms offences in India last year are still no
closer to being released despite pleas for the
Indian government to see sense over the
ridiculous accusations and lack of evidence
which led to the entire crew of a cargo vessel
being jailed for five years. They were arrested
on firearms charges in October 2013 when the
ship they were on was found to be full of
weapons. The charges were dropped, but the
Indian authorities appealed against the decision
The men were arrested on board a ship owned
by an American company which offered armed
protection services to vessels sailing through
Would you
an area known as "pirates' alley" between the
Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. Customs
officials and police found 35 guns, including
semi-automatic weapons, and almost 6,000
rounds of ammunition on board the ship which
did not have permission to be in Indian waters.
A court in Tamil Nadu upheld the claim by the
Indian authorities that the vessel was not
properly licensed. The men have consistently
denied any wrongdoing and claim they have
been abandoned by their American employers.
Speaking after being convicted, one of the six,
Nick Dunn, from Ashington, Northumberland
said: "They have no evidence against us to say
we've committed any crime and yet they have
found us guilty. "I have done six months in
prison, I've done 27 months in total and now
they've sentenced me to do a further five years.
This is absolutely disgusting." The six were
even accused of attempting to sell the arms to
Jihadists despite all weapons had supporting
documents from the government to say they
were used for the protection of the vessel. The
Sandbag Times has recently started a petition
to the government to intervene to secure the
release of the six. Although attempts have
been made in the past the six still remain in
prison. We ask the Indian government to
reconsider this rediculous case and do what is
right by releasing our men. These charges are
false and unjust. Free them now.
Nightmares can be very frightening and have a significant impact
on sleep quality and overall functioning. They can also be repetitive
and linked to traumatic or adverse life events from the past.
The good news is that there is a very effective technique that you
can learn that will permanently stop your old nightmares, and
provide you with the tools to deal with any future ones. This can
be taught by watching my video. The skill is explained fully and
safely and is extremely effective.
