Vice President for Student Affairs As a result of the<br />

application of the recommendations of the organizational<br />

consulting report drafted by <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong>, and as a realization<br />

of one of the most important goals of <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong>, fine tuning<br />

the complete package of services provided to <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong><br />

students, Dr. Ayelet Ben Ezer has been appointed Vice President<br />

for Student Affairs. Her task is to centralize the activities of all<br />

departments which provide services to students, with a<br />

comprehensive view of the cycle of student life, starting from<br />

registration, going through academic and social life on campus<br />

and through graduation and employment placement opportunities.<br />

The Dean for Student Affairs The Dean for Student Affairs<br />

is responsible, in cooperation with the <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong> management,<br />

for the variety of services provided on campus. The Dean deals<br />

with a variety of general and personal problems which students<br />

may encounter, and strives to find optimal solutions. The Dean<br />

for Student Affairs is responsible for granting socio-economic<br />

scholarships, taking care of students with learning disabilities<br />

and other special needs groups such as new immigrants,<br />

disabled students and others. The Dean for Student Affairs also<br />

handles the submission of requests to army officials<br />

(shortening/postponement of reserve duty) and the follow up<br />

thereof, is in charge of the psychological services on campus,<br />

and of the center for the enhancement of learning skills. He<br />

also handles personal problems of students (excluding academic<br />

problems), serving as "ombudsman" for students who wish to<br />

express any complaint about any issue relating to <strong>IDC</strong> <strong>Herzliya</strong>.<br />

Psychological Support Services This service is designed<br />

to monitor students' wellbeing whether in matters relating to<br />

their studies or concerning personal psychological issues. Within<br />

the framework of those services, students will be able to get<br />

professional advice regarding their personal concerns, fears<br />

and stressful academic issues. The service provides personal<br />

one-on-one consultations and is free of charge. To schedule<br />

Career Development Center (CDC) the Center for Professional<br />

Orientation was established with the purpose of assisting <strong>IDC</strong><br />

<strong>Herzliya</strong> students and alumni with all issues relating to finding<br />

employment in the areas which are taught at the Center, during<br />

the course of the studies and afterwards. Services include<br />

information and guidance, orientation and advice, lectures<br />

and workshops as well as meetings with representatives of<br />
