Track Houston Registration Is Open!<br />
Registration is through May 20, <strong>2017</strong>. Track Houston is the nation’s<br />
largest and most successful youth track and field organization. Our goal<br />
is to assist interested boys and girls ages 6 to18 years old in improving<br />
their physical fitness and mental stamina. We have 7 practice sites in the<br />

N Zone Sports<br />
Attention parents with boys and girls between the ages of 3-14! Now<br />
registering for Basketball and Cheer. N Zone Sports is now registering<br />
for Basketball and Cheer for our “Beat the Heat League.” The league will<br />
meet at Copperfield Church at 8350 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77095. Space<br />

SPORT ESSAY CONTEST<br />
DD Sports Association, a 501c3 non-profit company, working exclusively<br />
with N Zone Sports Cypress, is pleased to announce a great new program<br />
at participating Houston Area Schools. In an effort to teach children<br />
the values involved in sports and the lessons they teach, we will be<br />
hosting an essay contest. One student from each school will a 100%<br />
scholarship to participate in the upcoming N Zone Sports Summer<br />
League at Copperfield Church in Cypress starting in July. The essay<br />
contest will be open to all county students enrolled at elementary and<br />
middle schools. Students will be asked to write a one to two paragraph<br />
essay on the importance of Sportsmanship in sports. The goal of this<br />
contest is to help educate and teach children that the focus of sports is<br />
much greater than simply winning or losing. Principals from each school<br />
will be given the authority to determine how the winner is selected.<br />
Winning essays must be selected by Friday, <strong>April</strong> 28 th . All children that<br />
participate by submitting an essay will receive a $20 discount toward an<br />
N Zone Sports league registration. As a token of our appreciation, the<br />
essay administer from each school will receive a $25 Gift Card to Texas<br />
Roadhouse restaurant. If you have any questions about this contest, feel<br />
free to contact our league office. We’re exciting to participate with Harris<br />
County in this program that we believe will help shape youth sports in<br />
Cypress for years to come.<br />
Club Track Team Registration for<br />
Middle and High School Athletes<br />
The Northwest Flyers Track Club is now registering all middle and<br />
high school athletes who wish to join for the <strong>2017</strong> season. The team is<br />
celebrating its 30 th anniversary year and is a member of USA Track &<br />
Field. A full program of “track” events such as sprints, hurdles, middle<br />
distance, distance and relays and “field” events such as long jump, triple<br />
jump, high jump, pole vault, discus, shot put and javelin is offered. It<br />
is an excellent “off-season” program for young athletes who currently<br />
compete on their middle school or high school track teams.<br />
An orientation session for school athletes will be held at 7 PM on <strong>April</strong><br />
24 th at Hamilton Middle School, 12330 Kluge Rd., Cypress, TX 77429. Go<br />

Spring Soccer Sign Ups<br />
CyFair/Magnolia/Tomball/Spring/Klein<br />
Registration for Fun, Fair, Positive Soccer (FFPS) is open for boys and girls<br />
ages 4 to 18 for the SPRING Season. Games start on <strong>April</strong> 8, <strong>2017</strong>. FFPS<br />
is a non-profit youth soccer program dedicated to providing a positive<br />
youth sports experience for all children. Founded in 1986 in Katy, Texas,<br />
FFPS has grown to 22 leagues and 16,000 players throughout the Greater<br />
Houston area. FFPS offers children a fun and fair experience, including<br />
one practice per week, a full uniform and trophy for every player, equal<br />
playing time and play every position, co-ed/balanced teams, positive<br />
coaching and more. No tryouts are required.<br />
Registration fees $122<br />
Go to www.FFPS.org to sign up. Registration fee includes a full<br />
uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), trophy, trained positive coaches,<br />
nice fields and background checks on all volunteers. Coaches will call<br />
players to schedule practice by <strong>April</strong> 4 th . Practice times and location<br />
will be determined by the coach and team. The schedule includes<br />
eight games, played locally on Saturdays, <strong>April</strong> 8 th to May 27 th .<br />
