Starting Point
By Gary Keith, Lead Pastor
Everyone has a starting point for all sorts of life events. People have a first day of
school, a first date, a first kiss, a first job. Sometimes these firsts become starting
points for long-lasting experiences in life. A first date may turn into a marriage.
That first day of school was a starting point. Your career had a starting point, at
that first interview.
Faith also has a beginning, which is why we created Starting Point, a new ministry
at LBF designed for those who might be curious about God, Jesus, the Bible, or
Christianity. It’s also a good place for those who have just begun a relationship
with Jesus. This is not a class or a time of lecture, but a conversation about faith.
It’s a place where people can explore faith and experience community. It’s a safe
place to ask questions and learn about the Bible and Christianity.
This brand new ministry begins the week after Easter. Our hope is that anyone
you invite to Easter at LBF who has questions has a great place they can explore
them. Let your guests know about this new ministry, and consider joining them on
Wednesdays, starting April 26, for this 8-week conversation.
We recently rennovated the Belleview
House meeting room (shown below) to
prepare for this new ministry! Special
thanks to the team of people who
made this happen: Kim Methvin, Laura
Taylor, Kiki Hahs & Shauntel Raymond.
