College of Professional and Continuing Education Outstanding Degree Recipient These awards are presented to students graduating from the College of Continuing Education. One award is presented to the outstanding associate, baccalaureate and master’s degree students. Those recognized have maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, and have displayed active participation in the learning process and persistence in achieving their academic goals. Outstanding Associate Degree Student Jeff McCrevan, AENT Outstanding Baccalaureate Degree Student Stephen Sylvester, BPM Outstanding Master’s Degree Student Hourmat Abdul Rauf, MSCM Dean’s Award for Professional Accomplishment The Dean’s Award for Professional Accomplishment is in recognition of student success both in the classroom and in their career. Often students are navigating a robust work and home life while they pursue their degree programs, which offer them professional opportunities for promotion and advancement. This award recognizes the sacrifice that is made in doing so and the support it takes to do both successfully. Service to the Institute <strong>Awards</strong> Philip A. Brooks Unsung Hero Award The Unsung Hero Award is presented to a student in good standing who exhibits commitment to Wentworth through consistent involvement within the campus community. Named in honor of Philip A. Brooks, whose dedication and commitment to Wentworth serves as an example of selfless contribution to the Institute, the recipient of this award, who may or may not hold a leadership position on campus, exceeds all expectations, consistently volunteers their time for Wentworth events and projects, and serves as a role model for all students. Recipient Christian Blaise, BSCE The Wentworth Bowl Wentworth Bowl The Wentworth Bowl is presented annually to a graduating senior in excellent academic standing in honor of their consistent involvement and contributions to the Wentworth community. This award is the highest honor a student may receive in recognition of outstanding, overall participation in Wentworth activities. Nominations Maya E. Bloom, BCOS Béthy Diakabana, BCOS Emily Fritsch, BSEN Alessandro Mazzotta, BSCM Seantel Trombly, BSA Jace Valls, BBME—Recipient Abigail Van Vlaenderen, BSCE Benjamin Waltuch, BELM Community Scholarships are awarded each fall to junior and senior students who have made significant contributions to the Wentworth community through involvement in clubs, organizations, athletics, leadership positions, or service to the greater community while maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0. A selection committee reviews application materials carefully and selects those students who have demonstrated the highest levels of involvement in the Wentworth community.
