Highwood Historical Society - Teta Minuzio— The Highwood Historical Society, founded in 1996, is committed to collecting,<br />
sharing and preserving the extensive and important history of Highwood. Our major goal is to educate and present information on<br />
the people, places and events that have made and continue to make Highwood a unique community. Residents and visitors have<br />
many options to share and enjoy the many events, great food choices, and special comradery that is found in a small town that<br />

The Highwood Police Department Police Chief, Dave Wentz - The Highwood Police Department provides a<br />
wide range of services to the community. The Department is staffed by 13 full-time and 15 part-time State certified policeofficers.<br />
In addition to sworn police personnel, the department employs records personnel, community service personnel and<br />
school crossing guards. ServicesPolice services include: 24-hour preventative patrols, emergency response, enhanced 911 emergency<br />
communications, traffic and parking enforcement, criminal and juvenile investigations, and drug and gang enforcement. Telecommunications<br />
Telecommunications services are provided to the Highwood Police Department by the Village of Glenview on a contractual<br />
basis, which began in 2015. The Glenview Police Department’s Telecommunication Center provides state-of-the-art emergency 911<br />
and non-emergency dispatch services to Highwood residents and businesses. The Police Department is located at 17 Highwood Ave<br />

Highland Park Fire Department - Larry Amidei - Highwood has so many choices for great dining and nightlife<br />
with wonderful business owners and employee’s. They make you feel like you’ve been going to their establishments forever.<br />
The Highland Park Fire Department has assisted the former Highwood Fire Department for many years. The transition of the merger<br />
