“Are Chelsea going to clinch the
title before May? Or is Pochettino
going to finally bring glory to
White Hart Lane before the iconic
stadium gets replaced?
With so much at stake there is no doubt this is
going to be yet another fascinating end to
arguably the most competitive top flight league
in the world. With Leicester finally finding their
true form from last year, many eyebrows were
raised as to why they couldn't galvanise under
Signore Ranieri. But are the fairy-tale makers
got the last say under Shakespeare’s
stewardship?
It is going to be one heck of a last Act from the
Foxes and with Conte and Poch vying for the
ultimate prize there is so much to look forward
to. I hope you enjoy our first edition of the MFF
time, and is one of the greatest players. After the sudden death
of his wife, Rebecca, Rio Ferdinand has been famous for
BBC's show "Being Mum and Dad". He opened about his
heartbreak which has been most appreciated by other people
who have been through the same.
He was quite a daring footballer and has been part of many
loan), Leeds United, Manchester United and Queen Park
League club Leeds United. This transfer cost £18 million being
the most expensive defender. While being a member of
Leeds United, he played for the World Cup of England. However,
Leeds had to let go of their star defender as they were in
financial difficulties.
He was therefore sold to Manchester United Club for over £30
million in July 2002 for a 5 years’ contract. During his first
season in Manchester United, he won the Premier League title,
and collected the winner’s medal in the 2006 League cup. For
the 2003 League Cup and 2005 FA Cup, he won runners-up
medals.
Due to being banned from playing for a period of 9 months,
his first goal for this club only came on 14 December 2015
against Wigan Athletic. His most important goal was against
Liverpool F.C at Old Trafford, which was the last-minute winner
goal. Alongside seven of Manchester United players, he
was named 2006-07 PFA Premiership Team of the Season.
He carried on playing for the Red Devils after renewing the 5
years’ contract for another 5 years. In May 2008, he acted as
the Captain when his team played against Chelsea during the
Champions League Final.
After a successful career, Rio Ferdinand left the football world
for good in 2013. The reason he stated was that the club needs
fresh blood and it’s time for younger players to take over.
Rio Ferdinand's adventurous career is quite an interesting one.
At the age of 19, the footballer won the Hammer of the Year
award while playing for West Ham United. In 1997 itself,
Manchester United was interested in Ferdinand, but West
Ham United rejected any sales.
He played 10 matches on loan for Bournemouth in the years
1996-1997. In November 2000, Ferdinand entered Premier
On-Line Casinos Sponsoring Premier
League Football Clubs
In this article, we endeavor to delve deeper into the
subject, to gain a better understanding of the benefits
of gaming companies sponsoring football clubs.
It was just a few years ago that Bayern Munich and casino gaming
company Tipico signed a deal a four-year deal. As part of
this deal, Tipico was made a premium partner of Bayern Munich
and was able to join the ranks of other major brands like
the German airline Lufthansa and the global logistics firm DHL.
AFC Bournemouth, who are now an established member of the
Premier League after their recent second-tier Championship,
has taken advantage of its new position as well. The football club
entered into a deal with Mansion, who were once associated with
Tottenham Hotspur, to make the online operator their official
shirt sponsor.
As you can see, it's becoming more commonplace for betting
companies and football clubs enter into Partnerships. All this at
a time when the lower-tier clubs are still trying to attract the
interest of big-name global brands. On-line Casinos, such as
Casinosinuk.co.uk are incresingly popular in Great Britain while
other European sites like www.casinosverige.me are enjoying
success further afield.
In fact, no fewer than ten of the twenty 2016-17 Premier League
clubs have shirts sponsored by Gaming or Betting companies.
In the meantime, popular online gaming companies like Watford
FC with 138.com and TLCbet are replacing popular consumer
brands, like Walkers crisps, Reebok, and Dr. Martens, as
football sponsors.
Why is this happening? How are these football clubs so easily
able to replace these major brands? Based on information from
Antony Marcou, the CEO of Sports Revolution (a popular sponsorship
agency) many of the big football clubs are not able to
offer the major brands the commercial returns that they're looking
for.
These brands use their football scholarships as part of their marketing
campaigns, to build brand awareness. But, although football
is a popular sport in nations all over the world, the major
brands feel that they are unable to receive the marketing packages
that they want.
None of this seems to hinder the gaming companies, they are
using their club shirt sponsorships as a way to build the brand
awareness, not necessarily the brands themselves. Although it
sounds similar, what the gaming companies are actually doing is
using the football clubs as direct response marketing vehicles.
And while this may be profitable for them, this is not so good for
the football clubs, as it may affect their ability to be considered
valuable Brand Building partners. And when you consider that
the global exposure that the football clubs can provide, this
could possibly be a big mistake.
What do you think that the football clubs can do to ensure that
their worth is realized and valued? Have they already gone too
far down the rabbit hole?
Leicester City's resurgence under Craig
Shakespeare is remarkable and relegation
worries increasingly look a thing of the
past, after a four wins on the trot and a little
blip at Everton.
Many eyebrows were raised as to why they
couldn't galvanise under Signore Ranieri
and it seems the rift is not completely over
but are the fairy-tale makers got the last say
under Shakespeare’s stewardship?
No doubt the last Act of this season will be
one that Leicester City will want to be a
memorable one for the right reasons just like
last season’s unbelievable triumph. Maybe a
Champions League success will bring down
the curtain on a topsy-turvy season.
What are the basics of Mauricio
Pochettino’s tactics?
It starts with a rather innovative 4-2-3-1
formation that sees more PL managers adapt
to with Poch’s successful return of points
proof that with the right type of players to
work with no opponent is too worrisome.
Tottenham have the youngest and fittest squad
in the league and the best defence last season
and the best current defence this season.
An aggressive high pressing performance is
what this system is all about, enabling the
defenders to act in a sub-midfield unit which in
return means most of the play is played in the
opposition’s half. For this system to be
successful the term sweeper-keeper comes to
play, and that is exactly what goalkeeper Hugo
Lloris does better than any other GK in the
game.
This system is also used to great effect by
Liverpool’s Klopp and Barcelona’s Luis
Enrique.
Perhaps you could call Poch’s coaching
approach innovative almost ditching the much
used 4-4-2 line up as a thing of the past. But
very few people know that the main influencer
behind this system is Poch’s coaching inspiration,
Marcelo Bielsa, who coached him at the
Argentina national team.
