It has always been David Beckham, I love
that guys so much, brotherly love though, not
that 'kind' of love. I like his style, and he's one
celebrity that has been able to make an
impact in the world. He retired years ago, yet
till now he's still getting endorsements, that's
means he's still impactful in several ways. He
doesn't really have anything going on right
now, yet there are so many brands coming in
to endorse him. I am not so sure of what
those brands saw in him, but what I see is
greatness. I know with David Beckham, I can
achieve so much greatness and impact in the
world, so I can't wait to clothe him.
We know you are in a relationship, when
will you be walking down the aisle?
Yes I'm in a relationship and I'm very happy.
Hopefully this year we should tie the knot, we
should walk down the aisle. It gives me so
much joy and satisfaction that I'm going to
end up with her because she represents
everything I want. I've never been married but
I know so much on marriage based on the
things I've seen so far. My friends are married
and I've been able to grab one or two things
from their marriage. My girlfriend makes me
happy and that's the number one thing in a
marriage. I'm in no position to tell anyone
about marriage but this is what I feel: if you
want to get married, get married to someone
that makes you happy. My girlfriend makes
me happy, she also makes me sad as well
but that's two things. It's a different thing if a
girl just makes you sad, when all you can
think about her is just sad things. My girl
makes me happy and sad and I've been able
to combine both together. I'm not really all
about just getting married because this girl is
pretty or because she has a good physique
that can drive you crazy, but I'm doing so
because she's homely, she's respectful, she's
gracious, she's beautiful, she's warm, and
she's that proper definition of a 21st century
wife.
I heard your dad was a disciplinarian and
also a loving father, what fun memories do
you have of him?
I have alot to say about my dad. He's the best
dad in the whole world and I'm not just saying
this because he's my dad. I've learnt alot from
him as a man, I and my siblings all have a lot
to say about my dad. He was a very strict
man, and he was strict for a good cause. I do
not keep late nights, when I'm out, once it's
12am, something just tells me ' Yomi it's 12,
you need to start going home'. My dad is not
here, I lost him when I was 13 and now I'm 32
but till this moment I still feel my dad is
waiting at home with a cane to beat the hell
out of me. So I've been able to control myself
when I'm out, even when I'm with my friends,
when I'm talking or when I'm drinking, or even
with my staffs, they say I'm too uptight, that I
try to make everything intact, I'm that kind of
guy. I'm uptight, I'm extremely neat and I
learnt that from my dad. My dad irons his
underwear after washing it, he makes sure
that everything is properly ironed, from the
curtains to the bedspreads so I learnt all of
that from him. My girl knows this, when she
came to my house, everything was intact and
she said 'do we still have men like this'. I
learnt all of these qualities from my dad, may
his soul rest in peace.
