4.20.4 Should any club withdrew teams more than three (3) times, the Competition Committee<br />
will recommend to the GLRU Executive Committee that the club be relegated to a lower<br />
league. Such relegation will apply for a minimum period of three (3) seasons.<br />
4.20.5 Clubs that withdrew must inform the opposing Club and the Manager Amateur <strong>Rugby</strong> by<br />
19:00 by phone and confirm by letter to the opposition Club and the Manager Amateur<br />
<strong>Rugby</strong> before 10:00 the following day.<br />
4.21 Availability of contracted / provincial players.<br />
To be confirmed by the Professional <strong>Rugby</strong> Committee and the High Performance Department of the<br />
<strong>Union</strong>.<br />
4.22 Eligibility for play offs.<br />
7.1 In order for a player to participate in play offs all GLRU League Competitions and/or any possible<br />
promotion/relegation match, a player must have played in at least three (3) (minimum of 40 min<br />
per match) matches for that particular club during the year in which the play-offs are played.<br />
League Matches excluding Sevens. If a club player represents the <strong>Lions</strong> in a official SA <strong>Rugby</strong><br />
Competition, it will be recorded as if the player/s represented the club during that specific match.<br />
4.23 Disciplinary Measures.<br />
Clubs are adhering to the GLRU regulations or accepted Competition rules.<br />

4.25 Amateur Provincial Teams, Seven's and Women's <strong>Rugby</strong>.<br />
As per the Chairmen's Council, it was resolved that every Wednesday evening will be set aside for<br />
Provincial Amateur training of the above-mentioned Amateur Teams. Clubs will not be allowed to<br />
withdraw players from the provincial teams for club practices and matches. If a club player<br />
withdraws because of injury for any provincial team, the player is not eligible to play for the club.<br />
4.26 Team Jerseys.<br />
The following rule shall be observed by clubs (teams) participating in any GLRU Competition.<br />
· For all matches where there is a colour clash, the visiting Club (team) will play in its alternative kit.<br />
4.27 Promotion/Relegation.<br />

The promotion/relegation matches will take place after the 1 round of the Pirates Grand Challenge<br />
between clubs 7 & 8 in Pool 1 vs. clubs 1 & 2 in Pool 2 (7 vs. 2 and 8 vs. 1).<br />
