UV STANDARD 801 RATINGS
UV standard 801 provides you with precise details of the UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) of a garment. It depends
largely on the material and the colour of the clothing involved. Similar to the SPR (sun protection factor) of a sun cream,
a product's UPF, identified on the basis of UV Standard 801, indicates how much longer – based on the skin's natural level
of protection – a person can stay in the sun without damage occurring to the skin covered by the clothing. Depending
on the individual skin type involved, this period can vary significantly. We have calculated the UV protection rating for
each HAKRO performance product using a standardised measurement procedure. You can check the ratings in this table:
