Christ Church Episcopal School Greenville, South Carolina Dear Cavalier Fans, CCES Athletics welcomes everyone to another exciting year of Cavalier Athletics. Our student-athletes and coaches are looking forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in the classroom and playing fields. The same focus, discipline, and commitment that our student-athletes strive for in the classroom carry over to the playing fields. The CCES Athletic Program excelled last year in all sports. Our Boys Golf Team won their 4th consecutive State Championship(16th overall), Girls Basketball won their 2nd consecutive State Championship(4th since 2009), and Girls Track captured a State Championship also. Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Boys Tennis each finished the season as State runner up. Congratulations to all of our athletic teams for not only the success on the field, but for the way CCES was represented by these athletes. The CCES Athletic Programs are looking forward to the year as we move up to 2A. The South Carolina High School League restructured the organization of schools for the upcoming 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 years. Moving from 4 classifications to 5, CCES will compete at the 2A level with our region during this period to include: Blacksburg, Chesnee, Greer Middle College, Landrum, and St. Joseph’s. The Athletic Department recognizes the importance of the support of the Booster Club and parent volunteers. This support allows our coaches to focus on preparing our teams to be competitive at a high level. Please consider joining our Booster Club and helping to support our teams. This year, the Athletic Department and the Booster Club will be partnering to provide a Leadership Council for our coaches and student-athletes. We are fortunate to have Dr. Milt Lowder and his team leading this initiative. The focus of this program will be to help develop leadership skills among coaches and athletes, with the program potentially extending into other areas of school life.
