ORGANIZATIONAL/SOCIAL SCIENCE
Engineers do not always stay in
engineering; some of them move up and
become managers. There they utilize
organizational skills learned from the OSS
department.
The department offers many courses which
help develop skills in areas essential to
engineers but not related directly to
engineering. Among the areas of study are
psychology, labor relations, economics,
business management, sociology, and
industrial administration. These courses
enable engineers to carry out management
duties as well as their specialty of study in
engineering.
