13 The UC Program is devoted to assisting children and families in achieving their fullest potential through a continuum of residential, clinical services and educational program.
HIS HOUSE INTERNATIONAL The UC Program is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of immigrant minors providing wrap-around services for the purpose of achieving immediate stabilization leading to a safe and timely placement. Designated by the Office of Refugee Resettlement, His House International was established in 2008 to care for Unaccompanied Children (UC) under the age of 18 who left their native countries due to gang violence, homelessness, economic hardship and abuse in the hopes of starting a new life in the U.S. It is the program’s purpose to provide every unaccompanied client in care with a safe and nurturing family environment while expediting their case and corresponding documents for their timely reunification or release. The International residential program offers a family like environment in seven beautiful cottages on campus with a capacity of 126 beds. The program provides an array of services ranging from in-house counseling, case management, medical coordination, fun on campus activities, memorable outings and cultural events. In 2016, His House International served 1186 children with ages ranging from nine to seventeen years old and from ten different countries. 14
