Human Resources Department Goal
The goals of the Human Resources
Department is to assist His House
Children’s Home in achieving its
strategic mission, while ensuring
employees are engaged and motivated
to help the organization succeed.
His House Workforce
His House Children’s Home has
experienced a 39% increase in
workforce in the last 3 years.
Currently, His House Children’s Home
employs over 363 members of our
South Florida community; Seventy-four
percent of the workforce resides in
Miami-Dade County and 25% are residents
of Broward County. His House
Children’s Home’s workforce is predominately
female, 71%, Hispanic, 67% and
Black/African American, 31%. The
majority of the staff, 32%, are 21-29
years of age and 27% are ages 30-39.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR FY 15-16
• The Human Resources Department processed 2,753
applications
• Conducted over 504 interviews
• Participated in 8 recruitment events in the community
• Coordinated over 19 internal job fairs
• Hired 207 new employees
• Increased employee participation in our group health
insurance by 11 %
• Provided over 14,291 training hours for His House employees
• Conducted 2 employee health fairs with the assistance of
community partners such as Coventry Health, CVS, Costco,
Massage Envy and Doctor’s Express
Goals for FY 16-17
• Establishing partnerships with
local universities
• Assist with developing His
House Children’s Home into a
learning institution
• Explore the possibility of
augmenting current employee
benefits
