Human Resources Department Goal<br />
The goals of the Human Resources<br />
Department is to assist His House<br />
Children’s Home in achieving its<br />
strategic mission, while ensuring<br />
employees are engaged and motivated<br />
to help the organization succeed.<br />
His House Workforce<br />
His House Children’s Home has<br />
experienced a 39% increase in<br />
workforce in the last 3 years.<br />
Currently, His House Children’s Home<br />
employs over 363 members of our<br />
South Florida community; Seventy-four<br />
percent of the workforce resides in<br />
Miami-Dade County and 25% are residents<br />
of Broward County. His House<br />
Children’s Home’s workforce is predominately<br />
female, 71%, Hispanic, 67% and<br />
Black/African American, 31%. The<br />
majority of the staff, 32%, are 21-29<br />
years of age and 27% are ages 30-39.<br />
ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR FY 15-16<br />
• The Human Resources Department processed 2,753<br />
applications<br />
• Conducted over 504 interviews<br />
• Participated in 8 recruitment events in the community<br />
• Coordinated over 19 internal job fairs<br />
• Hired 207 new employees<br />
• Increased employee participation in our group health<br />
insurance by 11 %<br />
• Provided over 14,291 training hours for His House employees<br />
• Conducted 2 employee health fairs with the assistance of<br />
community partners such as Coventry Health, CVS, Costco,<br />
Massage Envy and Doctor’s Express<br />
Goals for FY 16-17<br />
• Establishing partnerships with<br />
local universities<br />
• Assist with developing His<br />
House Children’s Home into a<br />
learning institution<br />
• Explore the possibility of<br />
augmenting current employee<br />
