Disbursements<br />
Unless otherwise agreed between the consulting engineer and client and<br />
properly reflected in the fee, separate charges are made <strong>for</strong> disbursements<br />
borne by the consulting engineer. Disbursements are subject to handling<br />
charges and include:<br />
• Reproduction of in<strong>for</strong>mation, drawings and documents<br />
• Use of messenger and courier services<br />
• Electronic transmission of documentation<br />
• Long distance telephone calls, fax and telex messages<br />
• Travel and living expenses <strong>for</strong> personnel when authorized by the client<br />
• Advertising on behalf of the client<br />
• Use of specialist consultants approved by the client<br />
• Use of specialized equipment such as survey, computer aided design and<br />
drafting equipment<br />
• The cost of any insurance that the consulting engineer is required by the<br />
client to carry and that would not otherwise be carried<br />
• Any other expenses incurred that are not contemplated in the normal<br />
fee<br />
