"<strong>Al</strong>lahummagh-silnee Min Khatayaya Bil-Ma'i Wath-Thalft Wal-<br />
Baradi, <strong>Al</strong>lahumma Naqqinee Minadh-Dhunabi Wal-Khataya Kama<br />
Yunaqqath-Thawbul-Abyadu Minad-Danas Wa Ba'id Bainee Wa<br />
Baina Khatayaya Kama Ba'adta Bainal-Mashriqi Wal-Maghrib"<br />
"Oh, <strong>Al</strong>lah! Cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is<br />
cleansed of dirt. Oh, <strong>Al</strong>lah! Purify me from my sins by ice, water<br />
and hail Oh, <strong>Al</strong>lah! Purify me from misdeeds and sins as a<br />
white garment is purified from dirt. And make <strong>the</strong> distance<br />
between me and my sins as great as You have made <strong>the</strong><br />
distance between <strong>the</strong> east and <strong>the</strong> west." [21<br />
And it has been au<strong>the</strong>ntically reported from him ST that he used to<br />
repeat <strong>the</strong>rein:<br />

"Lirabbial-Hamdu, Lirabbial-Hamd"<br />
"<strong>Al</strong>l praise and thanks to my Lord, all praise and thanks to my<br />
Lord"<br />
So that it was <strong>the</strong> same length as his Ruku; Muslim has reported on<br />
<strong>the</strong> authority of Anas 4: "When <strong>the</strong> Messenger of <strong>Al</strong>lah ., said:<br />

make <strong>the</strong> distance between me and my sins" This has only been reported<br />
as part of <strong>the</strong> opening supplication in prayer, as mentioned earlier and in<br />
general supplications, as mentioned by <strong>Al</strong>-Bukhari and Muslim.<br />

"(<strong>Al</strong>lah listens to one who praises Him),"<br />

It was done by <strong>the</strong> leaders from among Banu Umayyah, until <strong>the</strong><br />
people thought that it is a part of <strong>the</strong> Sunnah.<br />
