THE CENTRE FOR CHRISTIAN
APOLOGETICS, SCHOLARSHIP
AND EDUCATION (CASE)
CASE
In 2017 Assoc. Prof Bill
Peirson has commenced
leading CASE as its new
Director. The Centre for
Christian Apologetics,
Scholarship and Education
was established as a
ministry of New College in
2002 by Prof Trevor Cairney.
The CASE Centre aims to provide
Christian commentary on social,
intellectual and academic issues,
and engage people of all persuasions
in debate and discussion concerning
contemporary issues of broad interest.
It does this through the CASE website,
the Case Quarterly publication, regular
comment by our expert columnists, indepth
articles by local and international
authors, conferences and seminars.
In late 2016 a new CASE website
was launched alongside a full revision
of the publication. ‘Case in Point’ is a
new segment in the journal written
by regular and guest columnists
with the aim of providing brief but
thought-provoking reflection and
analysis by Christian thinkers in a
wide range of areas of life and thought.
The format also allows columnists
to bring a biblical perspective to bear
on developments in their area of
expertise and alert readers to new
challenges and resources as they seek
to live out their faith and share it with
their neighbours.
The new website offers a variety
of options for accessing old and
new content, whether articles from
Case Quarterly, reviews, or special
publications. Every one of our indepth
articles from past and current
issues of Case is now on the site.
There is a range of new subscription
options for individuals, churches and
other institutions. Print subscriptions
are still available, or by choosing
a digital subscription (digital only
or print + digital) subscribers can
have full access to all content on
the website. Non-subscribers can
access all free content, and purchase
individual articles for a small fee.
You can explore all of these options
“CASE offers some of the
best Christian thinking
by genuine experts on a
truly fascinating array of
topics. I have never failed
to be engaged by the CASE
publications.”
Rev Dr Michael P Jensen
“I appreciate the opportunity to
read the thoughtful essays from
the wide range of contributors
to CASE. It allows me to fill out
my Christian world view in areas
I would never get around to
researching for myself.”
Dr Megan Best
“CASE is a resource I regularly
turn to when I need a
thoughtful article to discuss
in a Bible Study group or for a
training seminar with university
students. It’s a valuable part of
a ministry tool-kit.”
